Some sort of a file manager maybe..

This and the ability to attach a file to an email would solve the gripe of "iPhone doesn't have a file system".

You could even expand the photos app to allow for other file types. Just add management feature that allow you to group/rename files.

Doesn't sound that hard but maybe it is.

Also

1. I live in the notifications center so some customization should be there. When my calendar is empty, I don't need 50% of the notification center filled with a blank calendar reminding me that I have no life :)

I don't need to read the weather. I want to check it. Give me a temp, percent chance of rain and a sun or a rain cloud. Get rid of the paragraphs weather report.

Honestly, (I know this is so friggin cliche but I don't say this about anything else ) I liked ios 6 notification center more. I like it compact and I like as much info as I can get there.

2. Ability to kill all apps would be nice.

-setting to always show safari's toolbar
-tabs in safari should be swipeable from left to right
-larger folder pages (in iOS 7 they waste so much screen space)
-folders should be closed after quiting the app that was opened from them
-more toggles in control center (their order could be arranged in settings, they would be scrollable from left to right)
-deeper Touch ID integration (third-party applications)

1. Add currency exchange rates to the Stock App, as well as a currency calculator. Rename the app Finance?

2. Tone down the amount of white. Pain actually shoots through my eyes when it unexpectaly appears while using the Photos App at night.

3. Simplify Notification Centre so it functions more like iOS 6.

4. A default location where I can store PDFs and other documents. Perhaps make iBooks a stock app for this purpose?

5. Mountain Lion/ Mavericks dock. I know it doesn't go with iOS 7's 'flat' look, but the current dock is ugly as hell and ruins most wallpapers.

6. Estimated travel times in the Calendar App, just like Mavericks.

7. A more aggressive push for retailers to start using PassBook. I really want to put my loyalty cards on there so I can slim down my wallet, but it appears no businesses in Australia care about this app.

Lol I agree my calendar looks this a lot. It's not needed when there's no events. And when there are events once they end it can go away to.

How hard is it to implement a quick reply / messaging feature so I don't have to tediously exit my app, type my message, and then reopen my app. BiteSMS has been excellent at implementing this for YEARS, imagine what Apple could do?!

Also, control center is nice but please let me customize WHAT GOES THERE

Yet that is the purpose of the "Today" tab. It wouldn't make any sense to say "if I don't have anything going on today, change this to a different type of notifications tab"......

There is some fine tuning that could be done. I'd like to see them tighten up the accuracy of the weather data they display (less highs and lows, more current conditions), but I don't necessarily mind the text view. I only use this to check weather when my phone is locked. If I'm already using my phone, its the Yahoo Weather app all day long.

My big two are (1) Quick Reply and (2) Better Email Attachment options - essentially just add Pages, Numbers and Keynote (maybe Dropbox - or turn it into a type of share sheet) to the list of places you can pick up attachments from - and allow multiple attachments for all types.

I'm sure there are other little improvements here and there and they'll add stuff I really don't want right now but will love when released. At this point though, I'm extremely satisfied with the feature set of iOS 7. Once 7.1 comes out and nails down the stability and tweaks some of the options/controls (like being able to set a wallpaper independent of the parallax effect), it'll be near perfect IMO.

I'd also like to see AirDrop works cross platform (iOS to OS X and vice-versa), but I think that'll be a feature/fix implemented on the OSX side.

I'm 95% positive it'll happen in iOS 8.

I know it's been said but iOS really needs a Day/night toggle in control center. I'm reading this site's comments in the dark right now with minimum brightness and it is still blindingly bright, which understandably the site would have to fix since Apple could only affect things on their side. Still, a dark theme with the dark keyboard would go a long way to keeping eye strain to a minimum. I don't care for a lot of customization because I, as well as Apple know that 99% of people have horrendous taste, and would make terrible decisions (potentially scaring off customers who saw their awful customizations, just look at any of those jailbreak themes HAHAH), but this is something that really is necessary to look into.

A night day toggle would be awesome and I would love it but all I'm asking for is the bare minimum...a Dark keyboard. Come on apple you can do it you all ready did. I would make me so happy.

Collapsed albums in the music app, same as they were in iOs6.
All day events to show up in the notification centre.
I don't need to know that I have one event scheduled for tomorrow and when tomorrow comes, NOTHING.

- I'd like to see widgets or live tiles on the springboard done the Apple way. The same old boring static icons are tiring to look at all the time.

- Let us put icons anywhere on the grid instead of having to fill up each row at a time.

I really don't see why people want widgets
Widget is an android thing and besides widgets are ugly and a battery drain

Apple was able to do dynamic wallpapers that don't drain as much battery as Android does so they are quite capable as a company to do widgets in a similar fashion.

Group Facetime (up to 5 people total)
Visual Voicemail 2.0 (transcribes voicemail into text)
Quick Reply
widgets when swiping left at the home screen

The dynamic-ness of iOS's wallpapers consists of panning an static image around. Android's dynamic wallpapers are real time animations.

There are dynamic wallpapers in iOS 7 that animate without any panning or anything else.

Fixed music app(album management, playback location bar fix, audiobook fix)
Less safari crashes
More flexibility with email
Lock screen distortion fixes
Removal of the safari "scroll up and the url bar instantly shows up" feature

Apple need to take lessons from Android
Who else agrees that Apple need to do a Google and separate stock apps from the system package and into the App Store just like they kinda do with podcast app?
Makes system updates more lightweight, makes fixes and major improvements pushed out faster and independent from system update that you have to wait many month to a year for.
Just look how brilliantly it works on Android OS for the Google bundled apps and also when their OEMs (especially Motorola and Samsung) do it with their system bloatware apps.

Safari needs an option to always load full website (disable mobile version) like Chrome.
I hate websites that don't allow you to leave the mobile version or that do but after a while loads back into it on the next page.

Trying to complete a checkout and this site is trying to continue the process on the mobile version which has no basket or even me logged in.

Are we talking about the same thing here? I'm talking about the animated iOS wallpapers (the bubbles that float around depending which direction you tilt your phone).

Okay, I hadn't tried that one before. But it still appears quite simple comparatively; An equivalent Android dynamic wallpaper would have the bubbles reacting dynamically to every tap or drag on the screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is at least partially pre-rendered.

What do I want from iOS8?

- Less moaning about how slow it is compared to iOS7.
- No pointless posts from people annoyed they had to upgrade to iOS8 and Apple should have left their device alone with iOS7 on.

:D
