I really don't think a File Manager (Finder) is needed... But how about something like this? ;)

Floppy disk support is next. Mark my words.

1.Commonly used? Flash is dead dude. Take it from our Flash developers now hard at retraining because there's no work for them aside from banners.

2.Been there since day 1: http://www.cnet.com.au/secrets-of-the-ipad-camera-connection-kit-339334522.htm
1. It's used in a lot of games, and YouTube. Believe me, I want to see it die. But it refuses to.
2. I meant an actual USB port on the side in which you could plug in everything from flash drives to keyboards.

YouTube works fine on iOS without Flash (and even on desktop computers without Flash). For games, plenty of games in the App Store all without Flash. Despite it still being used in many places the usefulness of it on a mobile device would just not hold up to the performance/stability/security/etc. issues it would introduce, aside from even the fact that most of that content in Flash can work in other ways on iOS or isn't really all that desirable for most.

As for USB port...not sure how an OS/software update (as in iOS 8) could bring that, and that's not counting the fact that with the size of the phones today a phone with a USB port is just something that wouldn't it cut in the market at all.

1. Yes, I only want to see it in Safari, and make it toggleable.
2. Read back a little. I'm talking about the new iPhone that will come along with iOS 8

Like people keep saying, USB has existed on iOS devices for years. And it's even more streamlined now with lightning:

MD820

Since 2001 with the introduction of the iPod, when has Apple ever put a USB port on an iDevice?

And after working hard to create the new lightning standard and copy protecting it, I see it as a zero chance now that you'd ever see that happen on iOS.

I'm marking your words... As wrong.

Someone on the previous comments wanted an infra-red port on the next iOS hardware! Not sure if he/she was being serious. To my knowledge, IR connection has not been used on mobile phones for ages. So really, a floppy disk request would not surprise me.

It's for using your phone as a universal remote control not for a data connection. The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4 both have them.

What IFRIT said, most of the new android phones have IR blaster so you can control your TV/cable box.

I just don't feel like I need to manage any files
It's not about actually needing to but really about having the option to do it if you want (or I guess actually need) for some reason. No real downside to having the option for it.

What do I want from iOS8?

- Less moaning about how slow it is compared to iOS7.
- No pointless posts from people annoyed they had to upgrade to iOS8 and Apple should have left their device alone with iOS7 on.

:D

I suppose then that Apple should ensure the performance doesn't take a large step backwards, and that iOS 8 isn't arm-twisted upon those who aren't interested, and are content with their devices on 7. ;)

Although I can hardly imagine iOS 8 being any worse than 7, so hopefully it's back on track from here on.

After using ShowCase on my Jailbroken iPad and iPhone, I think the keyboard really needs to show the active case.

Also, quick reply, deeper touch ID integration to lock apps, kill background and Mobile Data toggle for Control Centre, banners for low battery, date on status bar, mail more than 5 photos, and the Remote app UI for the Music app will make me happy.

Tiny tweaks I already use since Jailbreak, c'mon, Apple!

I don't want many things for iOS8, actually:
-Different user profiles using Touch ID (Maybe with more powerful iDevices with A8 chip and 2nd gen Touch ID);
-Much faster and smoother OS.
That's it. I think if iOS7 was mainly about design, so iOS8 will be mainly about features. Oh, and I would like more totally fullscreen apps for iPad like Maps.

I guess he or she wants a IR Blaster to Control Televisions with their Smartphone rather than exchange Data ;)

I'll play:

1. True multi-tasking (at least for iPad)...dual apps running on main screen at same time.
2. Manage contact groups from iOS.
3. New main page (widgets/personalized info readily available). Get rid of the rows & rows & rows & rows & rows of icons already. Give us a fresh new idea for a home screen (like the Today menu in notification center)...something! Use a gesture to get to the app icons.
4. Quick reply to iMessages/SMS
5. Ability to clear geo-fenced reminders via the today menu in notification center.
6. A completely revamped Reminders app...spend some of those $billions on a useful task management app.
7. Ability to SMS/email an entire contact Group using the Groups name.
8. Multi-user log in (at least for iPad).
9. A flatter design.
10. Have SIRI say "Yes" when I ask her to marry me!

That is all.

I really like iOS 7, but if there is something that I think Apple needs to do is allow just a touch more customization and work on the App Icons so that they add a bit more information. Not widgets though, I think that is a waste of resources.
