1. It's used in a lot of games, and YouTube. Believe me, I want to see it die. But it refuses to.
2. I meant an actual USB port on the side in which you could plug in everything from flash drives to keyboards.
1. There are over 200,000 games in the app store, with 125 new ones being submitted every day. That means there are several in every genre, many of which have been ported from Flash. Chances are you'll never ever run out of games in your lifetime. And YouTube? WTF? YouTube has supported the iPhone since day one.
2. GET A USB ADAPTER. It connects everything from Flash Drives to Keyboards just fine.

The ability to add tracks to your music app directly on your phone. So for example I've pinched a few tracks from my wife who doesn't use iphone and she had to upload them to Dropbox and share them that way. Ideally i would have liked to import them onto my phone or directly choose an option in music to import files. That would be cool!

Easy:

  • Ability to add the song I'm listening to to playlists from the now playing screen instead of having to do it via the playlist.
  • Ability to link calendar events and contacts without the contact having to be an invitee.
  • Ability to access items saved to the cloud on my Mac for Preview.
  • When in Notes, I have a bad habit of selecting text in order delete it but the keyboard is not open. It would be nice to be able to open the keyboard manually or have it open when text is selected.
  • Ability to request a document from third party apps for attachments when in mail
  • Print to PDF

Consistency. My biggest annoyance with iOS 7 is that apps that aren't updated for it, use the old iOS 6 keyboard - why?!? This is just one example.

i agree but only the developers can fix that. it would be nice if apple told them that their apps will be pulled from the app store if they don't update to iOS 7 keyboard.

But why do Apple make the developers update their apps with support for the new keyboard API? Why don't Apple just enable it system-wide like Google do on Android?

Well one day hopeful soon apple will require that all updates have the new keyboard. That's what they did with the iPhone 5 they said that all new updates must be optimized for the screen size.

1. Not all video are available on mobile platform. Some videos won't play on the YouTube app. Out of 125 new games, how many of them aren't clone of each other? I still remember bunch of new games were flappy bird clone. Seriously, there are just so few good game titles you can expected.

2. iOS never supported external drive. You cannot even access the content of drive if you plugged in. Unless you jailbroken, you cannot do anything beside importing few pictures from flash drives.

I'll play:

1. True multi-tasking (at least for iPad)...dual apps running on main screen at same time.

8. Multi-user log in (at least for iPad).

That is all.

These are essentials IMO. iPad should be able to display 2 apps side by side. Also, if we're really getting a bigger iPhone should be available on there also.

I want these animations.

Aside from widgets and 3rd party keyboards I mentioned earlier, I would also like to see some more options in the mail app. Particularly true swipe functionality and the ability to color code accounts (even just a colored dot) in the main mailbox. I think notifications need to continue to be improved and would like the notification screen to be actionable.

Android already does all that, but the polish of iOS keeps me using it. That being said I think Google is eating Apple's lunch in the software and idea department right now. UX still falls to Apple, but the gap is closing. I have always ended up back to the iPhone for my daily driver, but it is getting to be a very tough choice.

1- I have never come across any video that does not play on my iPhone through youtube app, but not saying there aren't any. Personally I would love Apple to keep staying away from flash on mobile platform.

2- What would you like to be able to import from your iDevice into your PC except your visual media (photos and videos that most people do)? Serious question. And if you are gonna say music, then I believe anything you have purchased on iTunes you are able to get it on your desktop without the need of transferring it from your phone.

I would like to see Apple make the Airdrop work for sharing between iDevice and Macs. I dream of the day when everything would be easily done just wireless, man I can not believe you ask for a USB port on a tinny device now on 2014!!

1. Safari push notifications from websites
2. Improvements with email attachments
3. Quick reply messages
4. Ability to turn off animations
5. More advanced keyboard
6. More languages support
7. Better optimization
8. Improved security

1. Fix and improve the stock Music app to its former glory.
2. Buttons that are clearly identified as such (simple borders/touch targets).
3. More consistent, less cartoony and nicely refined icons for the stock apps.
4. Less white! Apps need way more contrast.
5. More visual customizing (ie: 3D dock or flat dock, signal bars or signal dots, dark theme or light theme).
6. Stock apps can be deleted and located in the App Store. Apple could use this to update individual apps without having to wait for each major update.
7. Quick reply notifications and redesigned notification center (FaceBook and Twitter as well as a cleaner and more visual layout for Calendar, Stocks and Weather).
8. "Quit all apps" option in multitasking and an improved Lock Screen.

Those are my 8 requests for iOS 8.

The wording may not be but it turns OFF the animations though, doesn't it? I can't see any animations when that is enabled!

Watch from 1:15min, there is no animation (opens applications instantly)

Reduce motion only decrease for some ms animation length, that's all

I am not really sure if cross-fade is classed as animation!
On that video you posted, the process is identical to Apple's own reduce motion, instead of animation you got a cross-fade, just slightly faster.

If this tiny device gets enough of storage that people needs and not charing 100 dollar per storage jump, then people won't ask for external storage support. Seriously, 2 bluray movies will fill up little 16GB iPad. I jailbroken my iPad for more storage and I am not willing and will not pay extra 300 dollar for 128GB storage. That is sound absurd

Facetime up to 4 People SameTime [ IOS 8 ]

I agree with you somehow in the term of storage, but I only see myself needing more storage on iPad because I do photography (use SLR camera) I have around 40 movies purchased from iTunes, whenever I want I download them on iPad and whenever I want to free space I just remove them. But yeah, I agree that with the cost of storage being relatively cheap Apple should upgrade the capacity and I believe this year we could see the iPhone going to 128 GB storage! Unless they get away by some very attractive design and leave the storage bump for the S version. I find myself needing bigger storage on iPad much more then on the phone. I can be OK with 16GB phone.

That would be nice but I would much more prefer if they open facetime to other platforms.

Describe your dream iOS 8!

Share what your dream iOS 8 would have (and what things you'd remove from iOS 7)!

I'll start.

- A calmed down interface, less abstract but more structured. Somewhere in between iOS 6 and iOS 7.

- Removal of the terrible 'slide to power off' screen. Fade to black, really? This disappointed me about iOS 7..

- Ability to record phone calls into the voice memo app.

- Button to send via text message instead of the fiddly way it needs to be done now.

- The next milestone in Maps being better.. it's getting there, but it would be nice to be clearly updated at WWDC about the progress of Maps.

- Faster Siri launching

- Easier to read Settings app.

First and foremost. Quick Reply! I think it's the most talked about feature that Apple haven't yet implemented. Will we see it in iOS 8? I hope so.

Next, it's not a feature but design. Folders. A folder can only hold nine apps on ONE page on an iPhone with iOS 7. With iOS 6 it was 12 apps. They need to get rid of the majority of the space you see within the folder. If they do that we'll be able to see 12 apps on one page again.

Next. Allow developers access to Touch ID, SO much could be done if Apple allowed this and I actually believe this will happen due to the recent announcement of Samsung's fingerprint sensor in the S5 which DOES allow access to developers.

Next. A night mode for iOS 7. iOS 7 is all white and is too bright.

I was going to say performance but once iOS 7.1 is out I'm sure I'll be a lot happier as performance is what Apple have been primarily working on. (As well as all them bugs of course!)

Many people say a better keyboard but for me I have no issues, and again, iOS 7.1 does add improvements to the keyboard.

Experience varies with each user but I'm VERY happy with iOS 7. My device rarely crashes, that is, of course, what people have complained about since Apple released iOS 7.0.

I think that's me done :)
