I want a headphone jack. :p
[doublepost=1457471634][/doublepost]
I might be in the minority here, but I'm actually happy with the battery life on the 6S plus, I get through a whole day and still have about 25-30% left when I go to bed at night around 11 or so. And that includes having bluetooth on all day for the apple watch and my jaybird X2 headphones. I also watch movies on my commute both ways.

If I had to pick one thing for the iPhone 7 plus it would be reduced bezels in order to reduce the overall footprint of the phone while keeping the same screen size.... But as others have pointed out this will be challenging as Apple has hitched their wagon to touch id for the next few years at least, unless they figure out a way to make the sensor much smaller and still function the same.... I don't see that happening in the next few iterations though.
Agreed with everything said here. They could move the sponsor to the back of the device as LG has done, though I expect we would first see pigs fly lol. Sensor on back is actually a wonderfully ergonomic move, though I admit it detracts from the overall look/beauty of the device.

I'd like to see it released sooner if only a month or two ahead. That way we're closer to the 7S and finally the 8. That's the model I'll happily wait for.

I've never skipped a generation before, I'm eager to now since the 7 doesn't appeal. I'll be ready for the eight and have saved some serious cash that Apple certainly doesn't need. Win/Win :D

How could you possibly know the 7 doesn't appeal? we don't have any concrete information about it, just baseless rumors flying around... Until we don't get to the point where parts are being leaked out of the factory we don't know anything.

Less bezels pleaseeeee!! I have the samsung s7 Edge right now and its crazy how they have the same screen size yet the S7 Edge is so small and feels great in my hand.

Better battery, on the smaller iPhone 7 atleast. The Plus has always had decent to good battery life...atleast the one I had did.

Better camera, that really improves on lowlight photos. The S7 easily outperforms the 6S in this area.

New design, that eases up on the bezels. I've said it once and I'll say it again, the G5 and especially the flagship Galaxy devices make the iPhone look dated as hell. Apple can still keep the "iconic" iPhone look but still make the device look like it belongs in 2016.

Higher screen resolution. 1080p for the 7 and atleast quad HD for the Plus. 750p on a 650 dollar phone is not cool. If anybody else pulled something like that, they'd be crucified.

Waterproofing. I kinda feel like all flagship phones should have this feature.

I also wouldn't mind if Apple pushed the 7's launch up. I just miss summer iPhone releases lol #nostalgia

more storage! I'm a photo (and app) hoarder so I use a lot of space since I NEED all my pictures on my phone!

If I had to say, I'd prefer that the 7 have a thinner bezel and an OLED display along with wireless charging.

Less bezels! I would enjoy a phone with the same height of my 6s with a bigger display.

I know a lot of current iPhone 6/6S users are unhappy with their battery life and want to see this increase with the iPhone 7.

However as an iPhone 6 Plus user, I'm very happy with my battery life and would rather see features like waterproofness, a less slippery backplate, a second speaker, and a thinner device.

I'm curious what current iPhone 6 Plus/6S Plus users would like to see most with the iPhone 7 Plus.

I am ok with the way it is now, however if it was more waterproof I would like that better. It doesn't have to be able to dive with me, but if I drop it in a pool or forget it is in my pocket that would be good. I always seem to get calls when I am in the pool?

I've never once looked at my phone and thought "man I wish I could submerge that bad boy in some water".

I think you're missing the point of the waterproofing demands. I think the majority of us that want waterproofing, want it so that our phone is protected against accidental spills, splashes, and drops into water. NOT so that we can purposely dunk it in water. Sure, I bet there are some people who would like to be able to go under water with their phones for whatever reason, but for the majority of us, it's for accidental reasons.

It would give many of us peace of mind when using our phones in the rain, around pools, at the beach, in the bathroom, etc. Less chance of needing to pay a replacement fee should the phone come into contact with water.

How many iPhones have you had to replace due to water damage?

I would guess that people damaging their iPhones with water is a lot less common than people that use their headphone jack.

None, but that's because I'm absolutely paranoid and extremely cautious about my phone when I'm around water, if I bring it at all. With waterproofing though, I'd be able to worry a lot less. I'm not saying that there's a staggering amount of people who have had to replace their phones due to water damage, but again, it's about peace of mind. If they're capable of adding additional protection to the phone, then why not? Water will be once less thing we have to worry about.

I'm also not saying that removing the headphone jack is a good trade-off. I don't know how I would feel about the removal. It would definitely take some getting used to, and I'd be frustrated that I won't be able to use my current high quality headphones. Just stating why some of us want waterproofing.

I think most consumers would welcome a waterproof iPhone. I'm forced to put my iPhone in a special case when I'm at the beach or pool. Would be nice to not have to do that one day.

Goes beyond that. People often times get water on their devices accidentally.

I welcome any feature that's not implemented at the expense of another or degradation of performance.

I'm only against water proofing if it's done at the expense of the headphone jack. Why sacrifice something that's an integral part of the device for off chance of convenience if the user goes to a pool?

You're assuming the reason for removing the jack is "for water proofing" and hating it based off something that isn't the likely sole reason behind it. Things like water proofing are mere side effects of it's removal because it's one less port to engineer to be water proof. Thus easier.

Reasons why they "could" be removing it:

- It's said Apple is working on wireless charging and releasing it in 2017. That would be the 7s. Everyone knows a phone design lasts two years with Apple. If their wireless charging technology (which is also said to be all new and able to go through metal unlike others out there currently) caused interference with the audio from the jack then it had to be removed. So, back to designs being two years. If the 7s requires its removal because their planned technology release for it, then it would have to happen from the beginning of the two year design (the 7, because they don't redesign after a year)

- The wireless charging theory also ties into the other "big" design change in the 7, which are the antenna bands being removed from the very back. Just another thing that could have been needed to be apart of the design out the gate in the 7 when it's real reason was to accommodate the 7s wireless charging. (With them on the back it could have caused cell signal issues with wireless charging through metal or vice versa, therefore moved off the very back)

- Removing redundancy. Why have two ports that can do audio? Lightning is capable of higher quality. Remove the inferior option and open up the space it was taking for something else. Space inside a smartphone is extremely valuable. Removing a redundant port frees up a decent chunk of space while at the same time gives digital audio a kick in the pants to really start to grow and get better and ultimately more mainstream.

- Because why still have analog in 2016? Nearly everything else has gone digital by now. It's only been a matter of time that this legacy port needs to go like the rest. It doesn't matter if it's not a standard plug to start off with. There will be ways around that and there will eventually be a standard set, but we can't ever get there if no one makes the first move. Apple has the power to make that move because they make a very popular phone + own a very popular headphone company.
