iMac 27-inch replacement using any of these chips using a 3nm die shrink so it consumes no more than 80W of power

- A17 Bionic
- M1
- M2

By comparison iMac M1 24-inch CPU max consumption is 80W

Spotify didn't ask for more and it's a far superior experience.

Spotify has different contracts which expire at different times.

I doubt that the labels are cutting Spotify a better deal on royalties because they like their software engineers more.

I still want an m-chip computer without a keyboard. just two pieces of glass. bottom part just really an iPad that has a disappearing keyboard.

How about giving us a replaceable battery, so we don’t have to buy a new phone every few years to maintain the viability of our tech as a more long-term, environmentally sustainable investment? People in South Korea don’t buy a phone from Samsung that doesn’t include the ability to detach your battery, but Samsung and others like Apple don’t bother going that far here because we are lazy, and it saves them money. You have enough money, Apple. Something the right thing to do isn’t just about making more.

Also, give me back my iPhone Mini :( when my 13 mini dies I wonder if the repair program will let me replace the battery. Maybe repair means it is replaceable in some ways and I’m misinformed hopefully…

I’d like Apple to become an OEM for Nikon, Sony, Canon and Hasselblad cameras. I want to be able to use Apple sensor, image processing technology and UI with interchangeable lenses.

While we’re at it, Apple should become a UI OEM for any manner of appliances that are becoming “smart.” Why put up with inferior UIs?

A bit less greed and pretentious/hypocritical so called “social justice”…all that matters to them is the color green…
Lead the way in abandoning ESG and align your interests with those of your customers, not the weird San Francisco set employees.

I’m totally guessing but I bet they would instead release iMessage for Android so they would still have control.
They need to add some form of interoperability with other chat platforms by 2023 in the EU. Easiest would be RCS support integrated with iMessage.
Or at least the ability to delete iMessage and use a third party messaging app that supports RCS.
Actual SMS/MMS/RCS APIs are long overdue. Apple has a pretty tight grip on these so I‘m surprised they haven‘t added APIs to ease the outcry in the texting app world similar to the default mail and browser settings they introduced a while back.
I found the google employee!
I actually hate Android, I just want iMessage to actually gain foothold here (it‘s dead) so the WhatsApp dominance dies (I hate WhatsApp but it‘s the defacto standard texting app here).

Are the specific examples of apple falling short here in 2022 that you’re thinking of?
Yesterday I have imported photos from my iPhone 13 Pro to the Photos app. Some photos have wrong dates! Can you believe it?! Both are Apple devices. I could understand if I were importing photos from a Samsung, but not if I am importing from iPhone to MacBook!

iPhone 15 with USB-C, less iPhone options, MacBook Pro Midnight with M3, new calendar app, AR Headset, Apple Watch with blood sugar sensor

M2 Mac mini, USB-C iPhone 15 and a regular 4k/5k monitor cheaper than the Studio Display (yes I'm dreaming here on the last one).

On Friday, we shared a What to Expect Guide that highlights everything we're expecting to see from Apple in 2023, based on current product rumors and historical release data.

What-Do-You-Want-to-See-2023-Feature.jpg

We're counting on the release of the mixed reality headset that Apple has been working on for years now, along with the Apple silicon Mac Pro and a number of other refreshed Macs. There's an iPhone 15 with a USB-C port in the works, and we could get new HomePod and AirPods Max refreshes.

We know what we think we're going to be seeing from Apple in 2023, but we want to hear opinions and wishlists from the MacRumors community. What do you want to see Apple release this year?

Are there new iPhone features you're hoping for, or something new in iOS 17 or macOS 14? What are you wanting to see from Apple's AR/VR headset?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and take a look at our What to Expect guide to see an overview of the current rumors. We'll learn a lot more about Apple's 2023 product plans in the coming months, and we'll have in-depth coverage of the rumors here at MacRumors.com.

If you want to discuss Apple's upcoming products and rumors, our MacRumors forums are an excellent resource, plus they're a great place to get help on current Apple products and software options.

As always, thank you to our readers and forum members for making MacRumors the number one source for Apple news, rumors, and advice. MacRumors celebrated its 22nd birthday this year, and that's thanks to our dedicated readers. We are looking forward to another year of rumors in 2023. Happy New Year!

Mac apps ported to iPad Pro.
512GB as base storage for Macbooks.
Upgrade from 8GB RAM to 16GB RAM costing at lest two times less, at worst bundled with storage upgrade to make it more attractive and cheaper option overall.
Fixing all the bugs and quirks of both iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, havent seen such poor software implementation from Apple as with these two.

- A renewed focus on UI design and easy accesibility and discoverability of features. (E.g. nothing like the new setting panel in macos)

- better search & UI for apple music

- make Siri better, smarter and more reliable

- more icloud storage for the money

- simplification of hardware-lineup, signigicantly less devices

- less paid ads in the app store, more visibly curated content

- seeing the start of an evolution towards more modular, expandable and repairable devices again. Soldering RAM to the SoC might make sense, nut why not make SSDs or batteries user-replaceable again. It's absolutely doeable: E.g. the Mac Studio already got the SSD-slots for that. Or the battery-swapping mechanism in the pre-unibody macbook pros was pretty and functional. Other manufacturers are also able to build waterproof battery swapping mechanisms (e.g. Gopro).

It's a sign of the times and regulations will reclaim those changes anyway. Why not start implementing them now?

- Mixed reality: Not that I'm the target audience at the projected price range, but I'm a big fan of VR and curious about what apple comes up with.

- A new small iPhone (won't happen in 2023)

- A new, bigger Homepod (with analogue audio in and bluetooth - which also won't happen)

- new airport wifi-router hardware

- return of the iconic glowing apple logo on macbooks
