That's the only thing I did not try. I agree, I think that is a good location for them.

Thanks,

I can't read it!

Overall, I'm not impressed. It's too wimpy. I'm in the design business and oddly, what should be crisp and clean comes off as soft and muddled.

However, my biggest complaint is that I can't read the text in Contacts and Calendar and there's no way to enlarge it. It's really exclusionary for people with less than perfect sight.

The new Photo organization is unwieldy for people with large number of photos. I have always kept my photos in alphabetical order so that they were easy to find now I'm supposed to remember what day I shot something...

You can also no longer drag items to reorder lists in Reminders and Notes and as silly as it is, I miss my yellow Note pad and the ability to modify the fonts. I like having a more feminine option.

...and one more thing.

I can now take a square picture but I can't use it in my contacts because they've change the space to be a tiny circle that I also can't see. Really?

Bugs too many... unable to decline a call from lock screen, album view works in portrait mode sometimes... to name a few..

Didnt like the new font used in Safari Reader.. Font previously used was much better for reading imo. Dictionary view pathetic.. vague icon colors.. too much white used in messages, email, calender.. (i have a black phone 5)

Somehow, not feeling 'Magical' (LOL) by using it.. WYSIWYG ;)

* I dislike the calendar format...very hard to view.
* I wish the background on the phone's keyboard was consistently darker like in iOS6
* I hate...hate how in the lock screen, while playing music, if you try to use the scroll bar to increase or decrease the volume or scrub the music forward or backward the stupid lock screen will dance left to right thinking you are trying to unlock the phone. How about having only the bottom section of the lock screen move to unlock the phone...like in iOS6. That way the other functions on the lock screen can work without interference. Sorry...this just really annoys me.

You should be able to use the lock/sleep button (by pressing it twice) to decline a call from the lock screen.

You should be able to go to edit in Reminders and drag items to rearrange there. In Notes that kind of thing doesn't seem to be there.

For text, have you tried increasing text size and/or using bold text via the options in accessibility settings? Also you can temporarily turn on zoom when it might be needed to help with that kind of thing too.

As for photos, how did you name them and then access them in an alphabetical manner before? Generally they have been stored in chronological order before as well.

Double Click Your Lock/Unlock Button To Decline A Call.

1) In lock screen when I swipe up to open camera, I cannot return to lock screen by swiping down. This was how it worked in iOS 6. Now, if I want to exit camera I have to go to home screen because if I lock now, camera will open up when I unlock it.

2)Swiping left to right doesn't open gallery in Camera. This was a neat thing and easier instead of just clicking on the photos at the bottom.

3)I'm using an iPod Touch. When I have my 'Increase Contrast' option off and have assistive touch enabled, there is a visible lag. Lag in pulling down notifications, control centre, swiping, scrolling, switching apps, animations, opening apps. Would've be great if this didn't happen.

4) Sometimes when I have an incredibly slow internet and I have apps already updating, it shows that apps have been updated and the blue dot appears on the icon. When I check the app, they're aren't really updated.

5) They removed the '.com' from safari! I'm so used to it, I find it quite annoying sometimes.

Is it just me, or is the translucency effect not applied uniforming across the OS?

On my 5s (where the effect should be the clearest), the icons behind the notifications shade look like paint smudges.

On the ipad3, it actually appears nicer, because the notifications bar is this cool-looking transluscent black, and I can actually make out the icons on the home screen behind it.

Go figure.

The difference is quite stark, IMO.

The Contrast option is on in setting on your iPad. Try changing it and it will look like your iPhone.

The Calendar is just dreadful. Leave things alone if they work.

No they didnt...press and hold the "." key and you get .com along with a few other URL endings like .co.uk etc.

That's the kind of design I hate though. If it's not intuitive, it's not helpful. That's not "obvious" to me.

But its the kind of thing that has been in iOS for ages...holding a button to get more options. You have to press the . to add and ending so pressing and holding gives you all the others.

I like ios 7 a lot but there are a couple things that bug me

First I wish the bookmarks/history tab had a fixed size instead of resizing every second when I switch between favorites reading list and history

Secondly I hate the notes app. Way too plain. If anyone knows one with lines or something give me a pm.

Thirdly I wish there was a way to turn off different services like spotlight for people like me who just don't use them.

CJ, I sent you a PM, at least I think I did; the software went a bit wonky. Let me know if you didn't receive it, OK?

You can't hide apps that you don't want. I wish there was a way to turn off things I'll never use. Like passport, newsstand, game center... etc. Instead of I have to hide them in folders, but then I have an ugly folder I need to look at.

TM,

Can't help with hiding Apps (would be inch though) but you can do what I do.

After you create a folder for the App's you do not need/want, put that folder on a blank page at the end of all your other pages. It's not perfect, but at least you will not have to look at that folder all the time when looking at other Apps.

Jon...

What DON'T you like about iOS 7?

1. I don't like the app exiting animation. I'm not having motion sickness, but even the Reduce Motion one is even worse. I like the iOS 6 one.
2. I hate parallax because 1) it drains my battery 2) it looks weird with transparent icons 3) looks really weird with my lock screen wallpaper(I use an apple logo and it should be centered 4) you can't disable it without disabling other animations
3. The only way to get the boot screen from the white iPhone 5 is to invert colors on my black i5. Can't stand it.
4. [invalid]
5. Miss the 'LTE' that got replaced (at least for me) to 4G
6. Generating a little bit more heat compared to iOS 6

What animations would you like if neither the regular nor the reduced ones are working for you?

Are you rebooting the phone all that often for some reason that you see the boot screen all that much?

Slide to answer is still there--that part of it hasn't really changed (aside from a newer look) from iOS 6 and before.

If you had and have LTE and it simply says 4G now (because your carrier possibly decided to refer to it like that), we are literally talking about the difference if seeing the letters "4G" vs "LTE" in the status bar, is that right?

ICONS and parallax (useless gimmick)

especially Reminders (***** these lines continue over the edge, the icon looks not balanced)

Game Center (ugly bubbles)

Settings (ugly thin gears)

While the whole system is amazing I think they should fire the icons team.
