Check out whether FaceID will really work better in positions/angles that don't work on the X/XS.
I'm curious about this also. Apple said it will be 30% faster, and work at greater distances and angles, but they did not really quantify the last part

Need someone to check for pwm sensitivity so i know what to buy!
I’m doing that and reporting on the thread about it. Last time it took about 3 days for my sensitivity to kick in noticeably...in the form of a seizure. (Yeah when I have a bad reaction I don’t mess around. Yeesh. I’m not even diagnosed with epilepsy, just visual migraines). But at first, I thought it was going to be okay. It’s not something I can determine quickly.

I’ll be your canary in the coal mine. But keep in mind everyone is different. I can use OLED displays on other phones, even if I can detect a slight flicker. Some people can’t use any of them. My husband is prone to migraines but can use iPhone OLEDs with no issues whatsoever.

I think first part of the improvement will be part of iOS 13, while the latter will be due to the improved front cameras in Iphone 11 line up. I'm excited to see if there will be a noticable difference in the whole experience then.

Wow a Seizure I wouldn’t even chance it

Eh I’ve had a few. They pass. I recover. I’ve had to deal with other triggers besides OLED displays. Honestly it beats regular skull busting migraines. Fortunately I get those very rarely, and never in conjunction with OLED. Some other MR members got those. Ouch.

I forgot to mention I can’t wait to test out the stereo audio recording and the zoom audio. I want to see if Apple has improved the quality of their audio recording. My Note 10+ just got zoom audio and the new Pixel 4 is rumored to have it. I want to see which phone does it best between the Note and the iPhone.

I value this feature because I’m trying to compile the stories of the elders in the family. And often they tell the best stories when we are at a table for a meal just having casual conversation. I’d love to be able to zoom in and get their voices captured above the ambient noises in the home or the restaurant.

First thing I'm gunna do when I take it out of the box is a 6 ft drop test over concrete. The second thing I'm gunna do after that is drop it down a flight of cement stairs to see how durable the new glass is.
The swimming pool test is next.
My daughter already did that stairs test with the Xr. Not on purpose of course. As long as there’s a decent case and tempered glass protector on, it’s all good. ;):p

Probably decide on if I want to restore it from my iPhone 7 backups or start fresh considering my iPhone 7 is quite old. This has been on my mind since ordering, can’t decide.

I will admire the Midnight Green color first

That's a great answer! I bought a silver Pro Max because I really like that with the saddle brown leather case and have had that combination for some years, but the MG was so interesting that I ordered the same spec Pro Max in MG with the dark green leather case. My aim is to give the green a good eyeballing in the store and return one of them before I open either.

First thing is test how much I miss 3D Touch

In theory, I will miss that. In practice, I never really learned to use it for much so probably won't miss it. I wonder what the cost or manufacturing issues were that led Apple to discontinue 3D Touch...

Drop some bread on it to see if that ad is true

Kidding

Probably the color, then speed and screen, then camera

Then. Regret.

Lol
