Since joining macrumors I have:

1. sold a house and left my job
2. moved from Florida to Ohio
3. had a baby
4. moved back to Florida (in a different city)
5. moved back to my old neighborhood (not far from where the old house was)
6. got my old job back
7. moved again after buying a condo

It's been a busy couple of years

It was rough at times - especially financially - but I got to be home for the first six months of my daughters life (and all through my wife's pregnancy) while doing freelance work.... and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

I have learnt a slightly better international insight which wasn't hard considering how isolated we are down here. It's appreciated though, people.

I know what you mean. I have to give thanks to the members across the world for posts that opened my eyes to another perspective on the news. It was because of this new international insight, that I think my visit to Reykjavik and London went so well in meeting people from the countries I visited.

I was told by one person, who thought I was an ex-pat on holiday in Iceland from the UK, that it was that I was not self-centered country wise. Thanks MR members from outside the US!

1) I have been forced to be more spelling and punctuation conscious because people at this Forum are all educated.

2) I'm becoming more politically conscious.

i love my bullets jersey. i still wear it pretty often even though its too small for me, my friends think thats funny.

I was so ticked when they changed the name to the Wizards. According to the press at the time, it was due to the street violence going on. If the used some "crew" name - I would have been more understanding. The way the Wizards have played for so long, the nick of the "wiz" rings true. Just pissing in the wind IMO.

Reminds me of the battle back in the 70's at my JHS, Roger B. Taney JHS. We had the team name of the "Rebels". Because of the Dred Scott SCOTUS decision, the "Rebels" name came under fire. IIRC, the JHS is now named after Thurgood Marshall. This school is in Prince George's County Maryland. So some of the rancor over history and race relations could be explained.

Much like the rancor that goes on about the "Redskins" name for the NFL team in the DC area. I just wonder what has happened the use of the name of "Braves" at my old HS, Potomac SHS in Oxon Hill, Maryland?
