Tons of stuff has happened to me since joining last year. Don't feel like sharing the big things, though.

Minor things:
(1) Went for 5 days straight with near no sleep.
(2) Ate 8 plates of food in stupid eating contest bet with some buddies.
(3) Turned a lot more Asian "fobby".

Since joining MacRumors...

- I worked from home
- I bought a 12" PowerBook
- I met some new people here
- I bought a 17" iMac
- I joined a gym
- I bought a 20" iMac
- I went back to working at the office
- I met someone amazing
- I bought a giant inflatable banana
- I drank Tequila again after many years of not touching it
- My 20" iMac broke
- I fell in love
- I bought red shoes (and ruined them) and almost fell over in them

- I'm gonna get that 24" iMac anyway

What's changed:

I spent way too much on computers and other electronic devices.
I bought a new car.
Two vacations: Vienna and Stockholm.
Drove my new car into a van.
Became slightly more self-confident (a long way to go, still).
The severity of my IBS has improved.
Discovered Firefly/Serenity. Yay!
I now have a major goal in life that I want to achieve before I turn 40.

What hasn't changed:

My job still sucks.
No girlfriend (I'm really shocked about that, no, really, I am stunned).

Umm, so pretty much i'm still fat, single, and spend my life sitting in front of a computer. The system menu is just on the top of the screen now instead of the bottom, and my room doesn't feel like an oven.

My kids grew up
I grew out
Bought all this nifty gear to record some stuff.
Haven't accomplished a dang thing.
I've met some great people and hopefully
helped a few on the way.
Still can't type worth a damn.
System wide spell checker YES!

Went from being a pharmacy technician to heading up the corporate graphics department of a very large group of television affiliates. Took about 6 years of long hours in front of the computer. :)

Since 6/06 I have...
-I went to Britain and Scotland...It was wonderful.
-I've been spending too many hours on the computer.
- Started being an active member of the National Honor Society.
- I have alot more friends on AIM.

-My main computer was an iMac G3, and then I switched to a MacBook Pro, and sold it, and used an eMac, and now I'm using an iMac G4 and I'm going to be getting a new MacBook soon.

-I got a DS lite, sold it, and now have a Wii

-I've started consuming cannabis

-When I registered on MacRumors, my grades were not up to par, but this last trimester was great

-I've gained 14 pounds (it's a good thing for me, 5'8" and 120)

-I have moved into a different home, 3 times

-I've switched schools

-My room has been completely redone, twice

-I'm on probation...for driving without a (valid) liscense

Since joining I gave birth to my son who is quite seriously ill and mildly disabled. This completely changed my life since I cannot work full-time anymore and am staying home with my child for the most part -- but it's rewarding on a personal level.

I was still able to finish my Ph.D. and am grateful for that, and am now waiting for my son to get a little older and more independent so I can start working full-time again and finally fully take advantage of my education.
