I have been working on fixing the re3 port that thedoctor45 and others released a while ago..
The biggest issues with control mapping and crashes while saving were fixed. This port uses an experimental SDL3 backend - full controller support is included as well, with plug and play.
I put a test build on the Leopard Ports Discord a few days ago - currently there are a handful of bugs left to fix, but this port fully supports G3, G4 and G5 hardware running Tiger and up (will likely add Panther support as well)
You can download the build here and test it out if you want: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C742vk_gwb39j0HWHEk1IC1FheDN2PHF/view?usp=drive_link
On high end machines, I have improved rain and other effects, boosted streaming limits, water quality, view distances, and there is also a fully functional Photo Mode and set of PostFX filters you can apply (optionally, of course). These include effects like vignette, tonemapping, vibrance/saturation controls, etc.
I added a first-person camera mode, replaced the audio with the high-quality PS2 equivalents, included some extra UI options like "Minimal HUD". Self Radio works, just drop an MP3 in your Music folder and it'll get picked up.
3 new skins for Tommy are included by default, and there are also 3 new vehicles added to pedestrian traffic.
The renderer has been rewritten with fixed function GL support in mind, so it will run on any Mac GPU that supports OpenGL 1.x.
If you have a controller, *please* test it out and let me know if you have issues!
Keep in mind this is a test build and there are a handful of known issues I'm aware of - car tires look weird, some transparency/depth issues with entities like item pickups and water fountains, etc etc.
The PostFX and Photo Mode features aren't included in this test build.
