Wanted to give you all an update. I did buy the Seagate this weekend, but since I'm still in the process of converting all of my DVDs, I haven't loaded anything on it yet. Will do so this week - excited to see how well it works, especially with up to three devices being able to play different movies simultaneously!

If your iPad is jailbroken, you'll be able to use sd-cards or usb devices with the camera connection kit. So there's no storage problem anymore...

I like the idea of the Bluetooth hard drive, but the 5 hr battery life would be a big problem for me. Maybe 8-10 hrs ? That would be better. Then your iPad and HD die at the same time.

I've seen some iPad holders that float the iPad over your head on a long arm. Fun but too pricey.

The iRest works well. The large foam cushions are easy on your body. The stand lifts the iPad up so that it is easy to see when you lie down. The stand by itself doesn't always tilt the iPad forward enough, but it is easy to hold the iPad on the stand and tilt it forward.

as for the Satellite, it is a wifi based device not bluetooth. it creates its own wifi network.
