Wait, I just changed my mine, I would go out and buy the best seats I could get for a Habs game.

This year I plan on investing my tax return in a high yielding forex fund which I have access to via a private investment club which I am a member of. My return will be around the $20k mark this year and this fund has previously generated average annual gains of 25-30%, so I think this will be a solid use of my return.

As for what I'll be buying next, not sure, possibly a new plasma/LCD TV in the fall, but I can't justify the purchase right now since I watch a minimal amount of TV as it is and I am barely home in the spring and summer - I am outside as much as possible enjoying the weather, playing soccer, running and spending time with friends. :)

The rebate money will be spent on a whitewater trip that I am going on in June. However, the next item of significance on my purchase list is a wall mount for my television.

3G Iphone (I just hope it doesn't have a slide out keyboard as rumours suggest)

Wait, when was it said that it was getting a slide out keyboard!? I hope it doesnt get a slid out keyboard. If it does there is NO way i am updating. Unless its really really nice. And has everything else that i want...

pretty happy for the moment....probably just put it into the rainy day fund or use it for a short vacation. Im not getting that much any, only $300.00

Wow! We need to talk. I think my 401K lost 6% this year.

Absolutely, feel free to PM me. Investing, playing the markets, etc. are my passion. I'm into several alternative investments (since mutual funds and the like generally suck) such as tax shelters, forex funds, land banking, real estate, etc. and am always willing to talk shop with other investors or just provide advice. I live in Canada, so there are obviously some differences with respect to taxation, rules, etc. but a lot of the principles, opportunities and strategies are fairly universal.

Oooh, I love investments too.
Though I don't know much about it at all... but still I love reading about it!!!
Do you have any recomendations for starters? Maybe a book full of pictures, graphs and other things that teach the basics? :apple:
