Oooh, I love investments too.
Though I don't know much about it at all... but still I love reading about it!!!
Do you have any recomendations for starters? Maybe a book full of pictures, graphs and other things that teach the basics? :apple:

This may be a pretty good book to get you started. :)

I was thinking a MacMini whenever Apple comes out with the new models, as my ol' G4 powerBook from 2003 is just too flakey of late. (It's still good enough to watch movies, though.)

I don't get a tax return, but...

Grand Theft Auto IV
Nikon D40 (finally? please? c'mon)
Lomo Holga 120CN

and always... always... sushi.

Wow! We need to talk. I think my 401K lost 6% this year.
Ouch!

Court fees. :D
Ouch! x 2

I've been eyeing a gallon of gasoline for a few years now. Maybe after all of this saving I'll finially be able to afford a splash.
:D

Why me? ;) :p :D

As for me, probably a Hirobo Quark.

When I move back to Chicago in a few weeks, I want to buy a 50" flat screen plasma TV for my living room as a graduation present to myself. :)

Fender Standard Telecaster with chrome pickguard, new amp, or Live in Chicago by Jeff Buckley (DVD).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

I got all of $7.60 out of that... So all I'm getting is 2 more gallons of gas..

Just got what I wanted yesterday. A Apple Airport Express so I could go wireless, and not be limited to inside my apartment. Sunny days are meant to be outside.

Anything special? I have recently decided that yellowtail is better than red tuna. And tuna is just a bit better than California roll. Which is a bit better than eel.

Actually, I should have clarified. I don't much like sushi or sashimi. Maybe I haven't found a decent sashimi place yet, or I'm just picky because the flavour's a little too strong. I loooove maki, though, especially the veggie ones, or anything with tempura, roasted sesame, avocado, tobiko. So california rolls are probably my favorite (yeah, I'm lame), followed by dynamite rolls, yam tempura rolls, and good ol' cucumber rolls. Rainbow rolls are a safe method of combining the two for me.

Because you're delicious. Beware. If you wake up one day and find yourself dripping in low-sodium soy sauce, watch out.

Have you made any actual investments?

Yeah, but I don't live in the USA...
However, as someone has said on page one, some rules are universal when investing.
Just looking to diversify the portfolio... and just learn more about it :D

I'm thinking about a new firearm.
That is one thing that I miss in Japan, is privately owned weapons of all types: shotguns, rifles, pistols and assault weapons.

Sweet! :)

I really like mine. I use it in many places when I need a quick wireless network connection.

That's what my wife says! :D

I am curious since you don't live in the USA, what kind of investments do you make.

For me, I have stocks, mutual funds (stock, bonds), savings, and some others such as real estate. If I lived in the states, I would have more income producing real estate.

I'm lusting after a pair of Nike Bauer One95 skates which were recently released in North America. Trying to find a way to get a pair sent over to the UK
