... and that is not including the bands.

i have $750 in apple gc set aside for it. i'm prepared to spend no more than $1k for a stainless steel with either a milanese loop or link bracelet. if it ends up costing more, i may just end up getting a sport model.

42mm SS Classic Black Buckle
$749 plus tax and Apple Care

I better get out the door for under a grand!!

I can't wait!!!!!!!

I'm thinking the same and hoping it's under £1000 altho i want the SS with the link bracelet.

For me regardless of how much i can afford simply put i am not prepared to pay north of say £500 for a device which simply put has very little functionality without is being paired with an appropriate iPhone.

What we have seen historically from apple is that older versions of hardware get frozen be they iPads, macs or iPods. However for those users of such devices the devices still provide a function as they are standalone devices.

As some point the first gen watch will become unsupported and too be honest spending huge amounts of money make little sense regardless of how much money i have (and yes i could afford £1000 for a watch if i wanted)

Im going to get a sport see how i find it wait for a few years to see where the watch goes and then consider an upgrade

Hoping $600 will get me a 42mm stainless steel with a white sport band! :D

I'll be happy if I can get the 42mm one for ~$1k.

I do have an anniversary coming up in April and I've been hinting that I'd like the :apple: edition in rose gold providing the price isn't extreme. I think $2500 would be the most I'd be willing on that.

So first off I assume we are talking USD...

I'm eyeing the larger apple watch, stainless steel, with either the Milanese bracelet or the metal link bracelet, and a second band.

If the watch with metal band lists under 699$ I would think it fair, and 599$ with leather. I think 799$ with 2 bands would be fine.

I know the edition will be made of unobtainium... So I won't even bother thinking about it. I would buy a quality Swiss watch in gold way before I picked that up even if I could afford it.

If it costs much more than the 699$ with metal band then I'll seriously consider waiting on gen 2, or picking up a sport just to say I have one.

I want the 42mm SS with link bracelet. I'm thinking £600 I'm hoping a little less but will probably pay more if necessary

Clearly, the stainless steel with link bracelet is going to be the most popular (probably the 42mm size). My guess is it will be priced around $799.

Since my stainless steel Omega Seamaster retails for substantially more than that, $799 seems almost like a bargain. But, then, the Omega is a mechanical work of art.

Four months ago, I was pretty convinced I wouldn't be buying an Apple Watch. I'm starting to waver, particularly when I look at the photos of that stainless steel model! :)

Price will absolutely be a factor. If it's priced much higher than $799, I doubt I'll pull the trigger.

Damnit, my cut off was $500. Its looking more and more like I'll only be able to get the Sport. I was hoping the Watch would be $499 max. May not happen. Oh well, Space Gray Aluminum Case, it is.

I predict that if you double that $799, you might be closer to the actual price.

Hopefully I'm wrong though... :)
