I was going to try to photograph but too hard as they are indeed micro.. I didn’t even notice them until you brought it up.

That's funny because I currently have a Spigen clear case on my iPhone XS Max that I just took off to take a look at it and I ran my finger along the inside and it has the microdots! HA HA! I didn't even know it had them! They are almost invisible! Went ahead and ordered the Totallee for my up coming 12 max.

does anyone know if the lucid clear provides front protection. so if i place my 12 pro face down the front glass won’t touch the table?? i have the apple clear case but the buttons are so stiff. i like that the lucid clear has button cutouts and they claim it is easy to remove the case with their bottom cutouts. is this true?

It is not easy to remove. It will scratch your stainless steel and if you have the coated colors, they will scratch the case (unless it has changed from last year). It is slippery, but does have a lip to protect your screen. It is not what I would call a thin case, but does look good.

Those edge cutouts do not look great...

Got this one in the mail today in the ash color. I think I like how the darker tpu cases look. Don’t have the max yet, but feels decent in my 11 max.

by UAG Designed for iPhone 12 Pro Max Case [6.7-inch screen] Lucent Slim Fit Lightweight Stylish Transparent Impact Resistant Protective Phone Cover, Ash https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GF66XCV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FyjNFbGYHJC0K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Also ordered one of these, should be similar minus the dot pattern in the back. Also the darker color. But both cases have a clear option available as well.

Apple's Clear is less slippery than last year's, but QC is really bad. First had a crack, and 2nd one has a sharp spur. I suppose I could file it now with a nail file. Or hang on it until Apple's Leather comes out.

I was happy with mine except the buttons are so stiff. got the caudabe lucid clear today. it has the micro dots on the back. it really doesn't seem that much thinner than apple's. the only thing it has going for it, is that the buttons are open. so at least its not a struggle to press them. the cuts at the bottom don’t bother me, especially since its makes it easier to remove if needed. I already tested it and yeah, it was easy. unlike apple's where it took some time. I now want to try a clear soft case, to compare. maybe a Totallee.

Here is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid for the mini

I haven't put my new Clear on yet so don't know about the buttons. The previous one with a crack in it had okay buttons. One of the best buttons was last year's Apple Leather.

I got this one and really like it. ANLCQC Crystal Clear Designed for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JYT9969?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I just made an account to say thank you for posting about this case haha - I had been trolling these forums while anticipating my new PB 12 pro (got it 2 days ago!), and trying to find the best screen protector and clear case. I got this one today and LOVE it! It is thin and pleasantly grippy, only has very minor dots like others mentioned in this post for other cases, and even looks like it sort of takes on a little bit of the pacific blue color on the bumper edges.

I have the apple clear case and really like a lot about it and want to love/use it and MagSafe for no real reason lol..I kinda like the way the white circle looks on the back..but it’s just SO slippery.

Question for anyone about the apple clear case - I saw some people mention in various threads that this one and the iPhone 11 one got a little less slippery and had the buttons loosen up a bit over time. Can anybody confirm if this is actually true? If so I would probably keep it and try to break it inn a bit, otherwise just gonna send it and all the MagSafe gear back..

Glad I could help you find one.

After agonizing over which branded clear case to buy, I found a very good one from a hole in the wall shop in Hong Kong. It costs USD10 and is the first clear case I’ve tried that I like. It has a very clear polycarbonate back and TPU sides with microdots which makes slipping the case on and off pretty easy. It provides a great grip around the edges and handles fingerprints both on the back and sides very well. So far I don’t see any scratches at all, although it has only been about 5 days. It is thinner than Apple’s silicone case so easier for me to use one-handed. The buttons are just about as good as one can expect with TPU. Not amazing but I’ve definitely seen worse. There is a tiny lip on the front but because I have a tempered glass screen protector, it is practically smooth edge to edge which feels very nice. Unfortunately there was no branding or website on the package so I can’t share more details other than a photo. The good point is, there is also zero branding on the case. No wording or logo whatsoever. One thing I didn't see advertised on the packaging was anti-yellowing but at this price, I could easily just buy a new one if that happens. If I’m back at the shop again, I will enquire for more details if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested to know the brand to see if it's available in the US. Looks like what I'm looking for in a clear case. Please let us know how it holds up or if you find any flaws. Thanks for sharing.

I’m pretty satisfied with this clear case:

I purchased the THREEBEES initially and it was a nice, slim TPU case but it was also loose fitting and I didn’t like the microdots. I’m assuming the microdots only purpose is to prevent those finger prints/water marks?

Anyways this hybrid case, though a tad thicker, is completely clear and has raised corners on the back side. This gives me more peace of mind over an accidental fall.

Could you please post pics of the other side? This looks really promising.

if you haven’t been reading the whole thread, i tried the apple clear case and didn’t like it due to the buttons being very stiff, then tried the Caudabe Lucid clear. it is nice but it has a scratch out of the package on the back and my ocd can’t tolerate seeing it, plus i’ve realized i am not a fan of the hard plastic cases. the sides of the caudabe looked cloudy in certain areas, like close to the corners. i also got an Evutec Karbon case and really like it. It looks great imo and feels good in my hand. i also like the contrast where the blue from my 12 pro is visible like on the camera, bottom openings and the mute switch area. today i also got the Totallee soft clear case. i much prefer the soft tpu over the hard plastic. The fit is perfect on the Totallee. It is thin, seems thinner than the caudabe, but i feel it is protective. i don’t plan on dropping my phone but a drop from a short distance shouldn’t be a problem. it has a lip for screen protection. the back does have some sort of micro dots so when under great light i can see it. i’ve noticed that the sides occasionally stick to the phone and show a kinda like a wet mark, but with use it un sticks and is clear. The buttons on the Evutec are perfect. On the Totallee they feel mushy, but not stiff. I will just have to get used to them. Its possible that the Totallee is the same as inexpensive tpu cases on amazon. but im happy paying for it. the company is in california near my home. when they mailed it, i received it the next day. i’d rather support a local company. and they say it has a 2 year warranty. if it scratches or yellows i’ll file a claim. so im keeping the Evutec and the Totallee. I also backed the Peak Design Kickstarter campaign so next year in May or june i may have another option. im done with cases, im done with cases, im done with cases. sorry, just trying to talk to myself. :)

Totallee as clear as Apple’s Clear? Apple’s Clear is very clear to the point of shiny. Looks great, but this weekend was cold and it made the Clear slippery. I’m surprised that a 15, maybe 20 degree (Fahrenheit) drop in temperature to below freezing had that much of an effect.

So I had a spigen ultra hybrid that I returned. It drove me crazy that it would get dirty very quickly and was a bit too reflective for my taste.

Is this typically how it is for clear cases?

It’s opposite for me ..my fav case so far is this Hybrid ..I don’t have issues with dirty ..I do always wipe my clear cases with car spray wax and buff to minimize fingerprints...

I got the totallee but it’s actually thicker than I expected. The elago one from Amazon seems like it’s slightly thinner. Both have the micro dots. Can’t comment on fit since the phone doesn’t come till Friday.

has anyone tried this brand? There’s not really any reviews online.

I always go with LifeProof, for my cases. Last few I got were all clear. Current one is clear with a black trim, which is nice. Previous one was clear with a purple trim, but the purple got dirty quick.

LifeProof iPhone cases
Just ordered the clear Next for my iphone 12 pro max. Thank you for mentioning them because I had forgotten they are a sister company of Otterbox. I like the OtterBox cases as I do tend to drop my phone. As a new customer I got $15 off.
