It looks like the bottom left and the right side of the screen are uneven and less white than the left top area. Guess I will go for an exchange. Is there a way to make sure I get a good copy?

People you have to remember that taking pictures of your screen with a camera or iPhone will not result in an accurate outcome, what you see in real life is what is accurate, I took a pic of my screen and it came out looking just the pic you posted however when I look at my screen it looks great.

The picture comparing the two laptops does not have the mac at full brightness, but more like 70%. But it is roughly the same brightness level as the other computer.

The picture with the mac alone is at full brightness.

You're right. In real life it is not as yellow as the iphone pic shows but it is still noticeably yellow and it is also noticeably uneven compared to the left and right sides of the screen, as well as top and bottom. Again, not settling for this subpar screen when I can exchange it.

For the amount of money you paid you should demand perfection, I want to return mine but I'm afraid that I'll get a worse one or I'll get a unit that's creaks.

Mine is an LG and is yellow. There is a way in calibration to solve this. Just leave all the expert mode settings as is except for white point. just increase it a tad. Too much will make the screen blue. Has anyone tried calibration? If so, Please elaborate on the proper settings to fix the screen.

2012 rMBP with a Samsung screen which is flawless (knocks on wood).
