What is your "Word"?

Ridonkulous

This word... I have been hearing it more and more over the last few years. It's strange because I thought I invented this one. (Not saying I did)

In college (1997) there was a kid we used to call donkey. Then we used to just say 'ridonkulous' about anything he did, then we'd say it about pretty much everything. It did catch on over time but I can't really imagine that's the only original source of that word. How does a word like that get started in multiple places?? I cringe now every time I hear it.

as a replacement word i will Say "Schmidt". I had a really bad substitue teacher once and all we did one class was clash, cause i was "hacking" the computer but going into windows command prompt. and i also have friends who's last name is Schmidt.

In my day, kiddies, "Oh, snap!" was an expression only used by religious fanatics - you know the types - women are forbidden to wear slacks and required to wear skirts, modest in attire at all times, they won't dance or play cards, never watch TV or any movie that is more violent than Mary Poppins.

I get it now. But when I first read the posts with "Oh snap" I was surprised to think that there were so many on the list.

"Lumpent". I'm pretty much the only person ever to use it. It's a strange, Norwegian word that most Norwegians don't understand, even.

It's an adjective, I guess. You do something "lumpent" to someone. I guess it can be translated to "bummer", but it's slightly worse than that, but not mean/evil-spirited.

A great word which puzzles a lot of people.
