When my sister got her Macbook she left behind a Dell Inspiron 600m which was one of the worst computers we've had. It had to have it's motherboard replaced multiple times starting only 6 months after we bought it and it also had to have it's screen replaced and keyboard too. It was horrible which is why we're never going back.

I left behind my Fujitsu s6240. It has been with me for three years running Windows XP. Just did not want to upgrade to Windows Vista after playing around with my friend's machine. Mac OS X is a breeze to run, no regrets at all but I miss Internet Explorer once in a while. Safari is cool but it does not do everything that IE 7 used to do for me. Once you go mac, you ain't turning back!

Left behind a Dell Inspiron 1405.
Sold it to an acquaintance and 3 months later the backlight in it crapped out.

hoorah! :D :apple:

Acer TravelMate 2110. Someone at Uni stole it. I had already bought an iMac and was considering a MacBook. So I guess it was a good thing :)
I've left windows for good now, and not really missing it at all

I had a Dell Inspiron before my Macbook. I actually gave it to my mom before I was ready to buy a new laptop, because it was a piece of junk and annoyed me. She gave me some money for it, since I had paid for it myself, so I used that money, plus my working money to buy my Macbook.

A Sony Vaio... I don't remember the model but I got it used 5 years ago. It still works, but it's just too bulky and heavy for me. I looooove my MB now! :D

DELL D830 Latitude. It was a company issued POS from my last employer. Now it's their problem LOL...

Bought my own White 2.2 MB/4GB RAM [3rd party] never looked back. Screw Bootcamp and Virtual too. All Mac, All the time baby!!!!

I went from a Mac Pro and 30" ACD to my 2.4ghz Macbook. I miss the MP/ACD sometimes, but at this point of my life a Macbook is perfect for me.

The most recent ones was an Acer something-something... it was a decent computer and relatively inexpensive, and as a university student that is precisely what I was looking for (and all I could afford).

Dell Inspiron 9400
17 Inch Widescreen
2.0GHZ Core 2 Duo Processor w/ 4MB cache
4 gigs of RAM
160 gig 7200 RPM hard drive
8X DVD CDRW D/L

Yep, it's true... Left all that behind for:

Macbook Pro with 15 inches, 2 gigs of RAM, 60 gig 5400RPM hard drive, 15.4 inch widescreen, and 2X DVD-R Superdrive.... (Don't laugh, I got it for $1350 on clearance at CDW when the new models came out!)

And never looked back, the poor Dell is a paperweight, but it's a corporate laptop, whereas the Mac is personal so it just sits and collects dust. LOL

I sold a 12 inch PB to a friend, and bought a BlackBook. I still have it, but I've moved on to an MBA. I can't decide whether or not to sell the BlackBook since it makes a good back up in case the MBA or my girlfriend's Compaq goes tits up.

A Gen. one 12" PB. Then the first MB went bad. Got another. Then it went bad. Exchanged it for a MBP. Didn't like the MBP really because it was too big - and too hot. Then got an Air. Kept the MBP as a backup and the Air is doing okay as primary machine. Loved the 12" PB. Wish they'd resurrect the idea but afraid they'll never match the quality again. The 12" still lives but it is duct taped together (took a tumble down some stairs) and battery doesn't last long and memory is not so much.
