I use the magic mouse, Love it.

I have the drivers update for Windows 7 that allow it to work.

It is over priced but If you can afford a Mac you can afford this mouse.
The looks of the Magic Mouse are impressive and several posters here have said that it is very responsive. That impresses me, too, because two other Bluetooth mice I owned always had a lag between when the mouse moved and when the cursor followed. Also, is it possible to get the Mighty Mouse to emulate a right mouse click without having to press a key with your other hand?

The only time I've experience lag issues with the Magic Mouse is when there is lots of traffic over the WLAN connection, like copying a large file over the network. Haven't checked if 10.6.3 does anything for this.

Otherwise it works great. I don't notice any lag in cursor movement and the multitouch gestures work well, though you must install either Steermouse MagicDriver (if you also want to fix the crappy OSX mouse acceleration) or BetterTouchTool/MagicPrefs if you want better gestures than what comes out of the box. Right click works as expected even with Apple's crap.

As far as ergonomics go, the Magic Mouse isn't perfect. I feel it could use a bit rounder edges, more height and also the two strips on the bottom should be made of a more slippery material because it makes quite a bit of noise on some surfaces.

I'm considering buying a magic mouse, but I don't know the battery life for a single charge. How long does your magic mouse battery last, guys?

Thanks for your informative post. I am seriously considering buying a Magic Mouse, primarily because it appear's Apple has managed to eliminate most of the well known Bluetooth lag issues. Also, thanks for the references to the tools that give the Magic Mouse "better gestures." If I get a Magic Mouse, I will definitely try out one or both of them.

Before I got rid of my Magic Mouse it used about 30% in a week and that was light use only evenings on a home computer. It seemed like a charge hog. That was with Sanyo Eneloop rechargable batteries.

im using my thinkpad optical mouse. i will upgrade to a thinkpad bluetooth mouse soon. i've heard the battery life last longer than the magic mouse.

I bought a Magic Mouse today and also downloaded and installed MagicPerfs. It has taken some getting used to because it's a lot different from my old wired 2 button plus track wheel mouse. The Magic Mouse does a lot more, though, so, assuming I can get used to it, I think it's likely to be what the doctor ordered.

I'll report about battery life when I have had a chance to assess it.

I post to further report on the Magic Mouse that I got last week. It took awhile for me to get it configured to suit me but I managed to do it and now like it a lot. My only reservation after 6 days of use is that the battery is already down to 84%. That concerns me because I had heard the Magic Mouse was a memory hog. If it turns out to be unacceptable with disposable batteries, I will shift to rechargeables.

Is there a fix for the jumpiness of the Logitech mice? The cursor movement is quite frustrating.

I have a VX Revolution, and cannot seem to find a fix.

I use my iPhone occasionally when it's connected to my external, seeing as how it's used generally for entertainment purposes. Otherwise, I use the trackpad. Multitouch rocks. :D

I use this little 20 dollar Logitech USB wireless mouse for gaming.

If I'm sitting at my desk word processing, then I use my Magic Mouse. I like having a mouse at a desk for some reason, although I occasionally use my trackpad.

Some random Dell BlueTooth mouse I picked up a couple of years ago at Discount Electronics for a whole $9. The only issue I've had with it is trying to use it when I have the laptop hooked up to the TV, on the other side of the room, but I don't exactly expect perfect performance at that distance ;)

I have a Dell BT mouse...

I had a V450 Nano before that.

The Magic Mouse is just too flat for my liking - I need a taller mouse with a better curve to it.

Aha - that's the mouse I have :) I ended up picking up the Dell BT keyboard about a year ago, also to use when the computer is across the room, and it came with a spare BT mouse + dongle, so I ended up giving it to my neighbor. No idea how he liked it :)

Magic Mouse since it was released....but I've never been satisfied with it.

The old Mighty Mouse had 2 additional buttons that could be configured for Expose...that's gone with the Magic Mouse.

I like the Multi-touch concept with the Magic Mouse, but the design is just too flat and shallow. Totally not ergonomic, and becomes uncomfortable after lengthy periods of use. The curve of the Mighty Mouse was much easier on the wrist.

And only two types of gestures for the Magic Mouse? My first complaint would actually go away if three fingered gestures to activate Expose (or whatever else) were available. The fact that my trackpad has more useful gestures means I almost never use Magic Mouse unless I'm connected to an external display.

So I guess you could say I'm in the market for a new mouse. Razer looks nice, and I can probably justify the cost since I dropped $70 for the Magic Mouse. :D

Trackpad. I'm not sure why you'd need to use an external mouse on the new MBs or MBPs, they trackpads are huge, and I've never got a sore wrist or anything from using them for extended periods of time. That and the fact that I use my MBP on my lap most of the time (so I can't use a mouse) is why I don't use external mice on laptops anymore. :D

I used to use one with my old iBook, but thats because the trackpad was quite small:(

This is me.

I had my doubts but got used to the Magic Mouse quickly.

The key to the Magic Mouse is to go out and buy a set of rechargeable batteries and charger (Radio Shack is where I got mine). Then the battery hog issue stops being an issue. I am on my 5th battery/charge in less than 3 months

Magic mouse with better touch tool installed. Very customizable and tracks fantastic......eat's batteries like candy though. I need to pick up some rechargeables.
