Recently got a new Magic Mouse and after getting used to it, I really like it. I know it was way overpriced, but I did get a discount.

As much as I wanted to like the Magic Mouse it simply does not stand up to the comfort and easy of the Anywhere Mouse. That's driving my Mac now.

When I get my mac, if they ever decide to update, I'm looking at either the razor orochi (providing they ship to the uk) or the magic mouse, anyone having any pros cons for either?

Magic mouse for the MB and some cheap PC Line thing on my windows. There's a £50 price differece, but you'd never know!

I just got the Razer Orochi and selling my magic mouse and kensington slimblade, I had two mouse becuase one would be for surfing the web and one would be for gaming. Now I just got the orochi to do both.

Question - On the orochi, how do you program the side buttons to control spaces and back and forward for webpages? It shows only options to program single keys.

I currently have Magic Mouse but thinking about getting Orochi. Orochi seems to have better ergonomics design and convenient feature like using it as USB mouse. Only thing holding me back from switching to Orochi is that there are good number of people experiencing a lag after 2 to 3 seconds of idle resulting in an inadvertent jump when it is used as Bluetooth mouse. See Mac user reviews on Amazon.com. Some say that the problem is completely normal for a Bluetooth mouse but I've never experienced such lag using Magic Mouse, which uses Bluetooth technology. Do you, or anyone who uses Orochi, experience this problem with your Orochi with the latest firmware 1.03? Any thoughts, tips or cautions after switching from Magic Mouse?

Razer Orochi seems to be the best choice for a Bluetooth mouse if it completely supports Mac and has no lag issue.

Based on several reviews of the Razer Orochi at Amazon, it has lag issues. I have had two Bluetooth mice, one a Bluetake and the other a Logitech. Both had lag issues, which convinced me that such lags are inevitable with a Bluetooth mouse. Lags are not a deal breaker to my way of thinking but I nevertheless, use a wired Logitech LX3 Optical Mouse most of the time. Thus, if you are happy with the performance of your Magic Mouse, I think you might want to seriously consider sticking with it.

Thanks for your advice based on your experience with Bluetooth mice.

not really noticeable for me ssince i plug it in most of the time but the ergonomics is waayyy better then the magic mouse or the kensington (both on ebay btw), I just love the way it feels and click.

I'm sure it's a great wired mouse but, have you used it as Bluetooth mouse and noticed a lag or a surge of jump after several seconds of idling (not moving/clicking) as described by reviewers at Amazon.com?

ill check it out tonight. are u concerned because of gaming?

No, I seldom play games but when I play FPS, I rely definitely on wired connection via USB (I also have Intellimouse 3.0). So I am on the same boat to coalesce Magic Mouse and Gaming Mouse into one. I wouldn't mind if cursor lags/jumps slightly after idling under OSX but, I found Magic Mouse flawless except--yes, ergonomics. Wouldn't it be nice to have a mouse that doubles as a Bluetooth mouse which provides elegance with wireless connection on desktop for work and a USB mouse for occasional gaming as enjoyment?

Logitech MX-Revolution.
I don't think I'll ever willingly use another mouse. I've never used a Magic Mouse, but the ergonomics don't look too great if you're working for any significant period of time.

Logitech are really great at peripherals

Magic Mouse. Love that thing...

I just updated with 10.6.3 OSX and the latest MagifPrefs update, which was just released, and Magic Mouse is mightier than ever. Pinch zoom now works flawlessly! Maybe I should stick with Magic Mouse. :D

Well now I'm tempted. Still clinging to the expose/spaces action with the side buttons on my Mighty Mouse.

DIY two button for MightyMouse

I have many mouse like M$ Intellimouse 3.0, Orochi, M$ Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, bluetooth Mighty Mouse, Magic Mouse, and Some Logitech wireless mouse.

But I find that Apple bluetooth Mouse performance is the best. The only downside is that apple mouse has no physical button for right click. So, I am thinking to DIY a two-button mighty mouse and maybe that will be the ultimate mouse for me :) .

I will update this ASAP when I finish it.

:)

I had the wireless mighty mouse before but now I use a magic mouse. I love it and wouldn't change it for anything. When it's linked up with better touch tool and you can add as many gestures as you like it's amazing.

Magic mouse - atm - trying to get used to it, i like the finger scrolling but the ergonomics could have been better

glad i kept my MX revolution - if i don't get on with this magic mouse in the next week or so - then ebay it goes..

i must add the magic mouse is the best i have ever used regards tracking on different surfaces, like table cloths etc.. its spot on.

I use the magic mouse, Love it.

I have the drivers update for Windows 7 that allow it to work.

It is over priced but If you can afford a Mac you can afford this mouse.
