Christopher Walken appeared frequently on US TV shows in the 50's and 60's...

Watched Inherent Vice tonight. Good movie, girlfriend fell asleep but that doesn't mean much - think she'd have enjoyed it as much as I did :D, but honestly: haven't seen that many folks leaving a movie before the ending in ages, if ever! Stange, but I can (sadly) see why though.

Good n' quirky noir, and there aren't that many (good ones) made nowadays. Not a fan of the voice overs though tbh - even as a homage it could/should have been done better imo.

Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines. Last time I saw it was in 1965 when it was released. I was 13 at the time[/url]

Looks like a good one; I'll have to look for it sometime.

Right now I'm watching an old Film Noir with Deforest Kelleys film debut called Fear in the Night (1947).

Currently in the midst of The Spanish Prisoner. My oh my, good movie but the the dialogue is so stilted...

Good music too. And a great turn of roles by Mr. Martin.

I love that movie! Haven't seen it in years though.

I finished watching Left Behind with Nicholas Cage

Not a very good movie at all. Poorly cast, poor story and poorly executed imo. I can see why this bombed at the theaters.

I've read and enjoyed the Left Behind book series, but the movie itself lacked so much that it was not a good movie.

One good side benefit if that, I'm rereading the Left Behind book, just because the movie left me with wanting the real thing :D

Same deal as The Leftovers on HBO? Sounds like it. I've heard that stories like these are short on answers.

Well, it's David Mamet, he uses language as a prop (and it's less about it sounding organic), it has a certain cadence, and he likes playing with semantics.

The Leftovers has an event that's certainly like [what has been described as] the rapture, but it's way less concerned about that event than the people left, the complexities of life in the shadow of some greater thing we don't understand, it's pretty damn brilliant at moments. It's totally independent of those books, The Leftovers is definitely worth a look if you like drama, but with an interesting touch of less-than-natural (not unlike the early Lost episodes).

I got about half way into Season One of the Leftovers before it's darkness fatiqued me.

Big Hero Six- the skill displayed in computer animation is advancing by leaps and bounds. Good story, outstanding cinematography. Outdoor scenes have photorealistics qualities.
