I like Scarlett Johansson, but I’ve never been crazy about her portrayal as Black Widow. Fingers crossed this is good.
Outside of Captain America The Winter Soldier, I agree. I am jazzed about this for Rachel Weisz (Melina The Iron Maiden), Florence Pugh (Yelena, the other Black Widow in the comics), David Harbour (Red Guardian) and Taskmaster. I won't be surprised if Taskmaster is a woman here.

If Winter Soldier shows up (a strong possibility in flashbacks, as Sebastian apparently was on the set), I will be very happy.

The Russian side of the Marvel Universe always appealed to me, so I am curious to see how this is interpreted.

Soylent Green (1973)- Interesting, a movie about a world ravaged by greenhouse warming and overpopulation set in 2020. We are on the road, but have not progressed that far. I always liked Charlton Heston as an actor and I really like Edward G. Robinson.

This will be available on the Criterion Channel on Sunday and I plan to watch it then, among some other 70's scifi flicks.

I always enjoyed that movie. It's a good SF story. The book was much better, though. "Make Room! Make Room!" by Harry Harrison is a classic SF book.

Trifecta.😁

Oceans 11_12_13 [2001-2004-2007]. I’ve watched them all before, but revisited over the last week or so.

I liked all three, with Oceans 12 being my favorite of the three. Oceans 13 was a nice send-off with the addition of Pacino.

With a such huge cast in this trilogy, Andy Garcia was one of the standout performers, even if his was role was lesser in #2 & 3.

Steven Soderberghs directing style was consistent and unique with the filming angles/cut-scenes in all three.

Little Women was magnificent. A timeless story made anew, adjusting the story to a different presentation and even giving more depth to the story through adding new ways of seeing Alcott's original text.
Just brilliant all around and the acting (!!) is fantastic.

Watched Mission Impossible Fallout last night.
As Mrs AFB said before she gave up about halfway through ‘each sequel is about 10% worse and less believable than the previous’.

I think her maths might be wrong! I don’t think it was that good. It just seems to be a way for Cruise to indulge in making him look good. Oh look another motorbike chase. Speeded up much? Just a lot.

2/10.

I remember the first MI motorcycle chase where two humans on a collision course at an ungodly speed launch themselves into the air and collide with an easy equivalence of 100mph impact, fall to the ground and instead of lifeless pulps, jump up and start fist fighting. That was with some Kung Fu director and I was so finished with the franchise at that point.

Watched The Last Jedi.

I still think it's the best in the sequel trilogy
Can you mostly flush 7&8, remember some character development, and mentally approach it as a stand-alone story? ;)

You are probably the only one who thinks that. That movie was a stinker.

False. The movie still scored a 91% on rotten tomatoes. I’d say that’s pretty freakin good, given it was a totally different director with Rian out of the trilogy.
