Just finished 'City of Angels' with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage.

Now for a cult classic, 'The Jerk' with Steve Martin.

I watched "The Amazing Spider-Man" last night and I noticed that the closing credits were in the same font as the opening titles in the 2003 "Daredevil" movie. I'm sure you all notice stuff like that so you won't think I'm a geek.

Shoot me, didn't notice that! But I just realized that the next Iron Man features Ben Kingsley. Brilliant idea, now I just hope they give him much more screen time than Rourke in the last one.

I got stuck watching Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom with the wife the other day. It was either that or a reality show...

Anyway, anyone ever notice at the beginning the name of the club that they were dancing in and chasing the diamond? The Club Obi Wan.

I really have to ask does this extra 20 minutes make the film more understandable?

Having not watched the short version before, I can only say no.

It still didn't make sense thoroughly. We had to go search out some film discussion boards to see what was going on.

Way overacted, but an interesting movie, none the less.

Waiting for us to watch right now are the following:
  • 5 Broken Cameras
  • The Imposter
  • No
  • Smashed
  • Rust and Bone
  • Save The Date
  • Bernie

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel- Drama of a subdued nature. Retirees are lured to a questionable hotel/retirement home in India. My wife liked it. I found it merely ok and would not watch it a second time.

Thanks, I think that I'll give the 20 minutes extra a miss, and stay confused with the short version.:D

I watched the fifth element last night - I love that movie. I got my kids interested in that as well

Saw Pitch Perfect yesterday, was quite a bit of fun. Perfect movie to watch with your significant other! :D

Two days ago, I saw Troll Hunter (Danish movie). Was awesome!

"Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"

What I always find strange about Guy Richie films are they take place in London, but you rarely see a black face on camera. It's like a time lapse of the 1950's or something. Great entertainment though, and good for a few laughs.

I thought the Hobbit was released in Europe first too... what gives? :p Was it any good?
I don't know the answer, but Harry Potter, LOTR, Hobbit, and James Bond all have strong European ties. But Iron Man is a real American Icon, so your guess is as good as mine.

Robert Downey Jr has made the role of Tony Stark his. The film is everything that Hollywood does very well. It's fantastic entertainment with all the special effects you can want with humour and a great cast.

It must have been recorded in Sweden or something. There are no mountains in Denmark.

I think that the film was shot in Norway. As others have said a very good film.

What about the movie "Snatch"? Tyrone, Sol and Vinny are all black.

I'm not talking about the actors, I'm saying the decor and street scenes extras and such London is one of the most ethnically diverse cities.

Stepney, Lock Stock and Two smocking barrels.

The Bangladeshi community settling in the East End from the 1960s. The area still contains a range of immigrants, particularly young Asian families, as well as elderly East Enders, some students, and the beginnings of a young middle class. Based on 2001 census, Bangladeshis were the largest ethnic group (43%), then the White British (39%).

It's just like when they filmed Oceans 12 in Amsterdam, in the street scenes on the 9 Straten, none of the extras were real Amsterdam people.
