a most strange movie.Saltburn.
My wife just sat with her mouth open in disbelief throughout much of it lol.
one wonders what the point of making such a hoity-toity film is.
oh, i get it - Oscars for the weirdest.
should win a gong or 2 there … 🧐

Blade Runner is a tale of transgressing darkness into Light. Rachel was the source, Roy gives it up at the end. Think on it, this why 2049 fits so well....Except the venue made it too dark with city lights around us and lousy window mounted speakers. We were there for one reason, an infant sleeping in the back seat. 🙂 It took me a while after that to appreciate the value of the story. Bottom line, an overly dark atmosphere tends to be a negative for myself to work though or maybe not.
These days, while I appreciate the exploration of the human condition though the perspective of Roy Batty, I prefer Bladerunner 2049 as the better presented story though Deckard, K, Joshi, Morton, Joi, and Neander Wallace. Ironically it was not what I expected either at first. And while I won’t hold my breath, it opened the door for a replicant rebellion, which as compared to what came before it, this could be difficult to accomplish and keep the audience happy, and by no means is any such story assured.
I just saw Poor Things and it was significantly stranger. I really enjoyed the film and a very different role for Emma Stone. Be forewarned, significant amount of sexual content and nudity. A film I will be thinking about for a long time but it’s very weird. Sort of a different take on Frankenstein but with out any horror but a lot more weird, humor, sexuality, steam punk, romance and weird (yes I mentioned weird a lot for this movie)a most strange movie.

I accept your point, but really don’t need to think on it, was just describing why technical issues initially interfered with my appreciation of the story as presented. But as a rule perpetually dark stories are something I do not prefer.Blade Runner is a tale of transgressing darkness into Light. Rachel was the source, Roy gives it up at the end. this movie is on my radar and probably will win an Oscar or two.Sorry just saw Poor Things and it was significantly stranger. I really enjoyed the film and a very different role for Emma Stone.
Watched the first half of The Hunger Game: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
I like the story, but other than Peter Dinkledge and Viola Davis, the acting is bad. Almost like the casting director from Star Wars is now doing THG.
The best and likely one of the least known Christmas movies is The Family Man.In the past 3 days I have watched:
Christmas Vacation (x2)
Vegas Vacation
Die Hard
Elf
Jingle All the Way
Santa Claus
Bad Santa (x2)
Try as I may, I am still not in the Christmas Spirit. And, all of these are good.
a very good movie.Children of men
I watched it some time ago, and the experience is truly unsettling. This strange feeling of… something is wrong here.

This has been awful...
She's living and working in Australia now. Shows up occasionally in ads for her firm.Erin Brockovich~ I love this true story.
This has got me intrigued. I've been a David Lynch fan since Wild at Heart and Mulholland Drive. This one is apparently hard to find as he apparently has made it limited access.

Lynch is one of the only directors whose films can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
