Spoilers What Movie Are You Watching?

The Matrix (1999)- What an AI movie, and the concept of living in a virtual world. First watch, (if it’s possible you’ve not seen it before), you maybe a bit confused as to what you are seeing, until they take you down the rabbit hole and open your eyes. 🙂 The first movie of the trilogy is the best, the second is acceptable, the third is the weakest, and the forth film a decade later, first impression was “Dissapointed!”, but I might watch it again.

We have recently spent time watching --
  1. Oppenheimer. But it is a long film, and definitely should be taken in 1-hour chunks.
  2. Fat Man and Little Boy. 1989. An alternative to Oppenheimer.
  3. Hidden Figures. For the third time. Eminently re-watchable.
  4. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The story line had to be changed when the previous star, Chadwick Boseman died, but it is an interesting film. Lots to think about, even for a comic-based super-hero film.
  5. Cromwell. 1970. With Richard Harris and Alec Guinness (also Timothy Dalton as a right-royal rotter...)

Hidden Figures is one of my favorite movies. You've reminded me that it's about time to watch it again! 🙂

Last night we watched:

Medusa Deluxe

Loved it.
Fantastic acting and a really well done soundtrack.
Dark, twisted, strange, but also very funny.

Hard to pin it down, whodunnit, murder mystery, but any police involvement is completely incidental…

This is a lovely example of British film making. Quirky, great ensemble acting.

I love the tag lines to this movie...

Just watched "The 13th Warrior", "The Creator", and finally "Oppenheimer". Really liked Oppenheimer from start to finish had us both hooked. Also really liked how it went from building it to story that is the last half of the movie.

The Creator was ok... felt like something was missing, but it was still watchable.

Doesn't take itself overly seriously. Always a fun watch, competently produced. One that has grown on me more over time 🙂 Well worth a watch 👍

One of the best Cold War films ever produced. Lot of moving parts here, lots of subtleties that matter. Shooting in B&W absolutely the right move as adds to the atmosphere & depth of the film. One to watch...

This is truly an outstanding film. You feel like you're in the middle of the Cold War and the East/West political intrigue. Oskar Werner's performance was especially a standout. It's a complex film and requires full thought and attention.
