I remember back in the day when MacRumors did actual digging and journalism, now it’s just an RSS feed for two dudes that are right 50% of the time. You might as well have named the article “Here’s what these knuckleheads think is gonna happen after being proven wrong like a week ago”

I think there's still a, 'What we know so far' post coming on Sunday. :p

Are people really not satisfied with their M1/M2 Pro and Max MacBook Pro's to warrant upgrading to one of these? Don't get me wrong here, I coming from the perspective of market saturation. I am looking this from the perspective that most power users who needed a MacBook Pro likely upgraded in the past two years. Yes, there will be M1 and M2 Pro/Max users who will upgrade no matter what. But how many will?

The only way I can see a 13 " Pro happening (or making any kind of sense), would be if it is outfitted with a M3 Pro.
This rushed release could be a scramble to make up for the fumbles of releasing the 13" Pro with a M2 and releasing M2 Pros that had no reason to exist. From the start I could not belive the M2 Pros or the base 13" Pro could possibly sell well. Which They didn't.

A 40 minute event for two new Macs is kinda wild, either the Apple Shamans are wrong or there’s gonna be tons to talk about

Given that not even 2 weeks ago the rumors said: no event in October, no new Macs anymore in 2023, no new iPads in 2023 - anything and everything is possible.

I think I’m going to become an analyst. It seems all you need to do is have convincing guesses and fool media outlets into paying you to make them and get paid for it!

I've been observing the delivery times for the Pro Display XDR over the past couple of weeks and it's been always around 4-5 weeks. So I don't know if the somewhat longer delivery time is saying anything right now.

I don't think they will announce any new display on Monday. I think they will be introduced together with a Mac Pro or Studio update in 2024 (if at all). By then, Thunderbolt 5 should be available which is a necessity for a 5k/6k at 120Hz.

What I am looking forward though is if the MacbookPros will have Thunderbolt 5 connectivity or not. This might tell us if Apple has plans to introduce new displays soon that those machines could connect with.

Of course, I'd be more than happy to be wrong.
Interesting!
However, I remember when I checked it a few weeks ago (end of summer) delivery times were just a few days here. Also at two third party dealers I checked with, they have extreme delivery times all of a sudden.
Really keen to buy one till the end of the year for my business to use available budgets, so would really prefer if they update them anytime soon to do so now. Either way guess the current models are still awesome.

If I had to guess the XDR is something Apple really doesn't want to hold excess stock on, so there may be periods when demand's exceeding supply but Apple isn't going to ramp up production as much as they might for another product.

Plus, producing panels that size at that quality is difficult.

I have to ask… what not to expect, Apple Visio pro.

Apple already announced coming in 2024 so we know for a fact they will not be announcing it in 2023, so why bother even mentioning it? It’s not even a rumor at this point.

So basically nothing to expect.
Waiting for diehard Apple fans shouting M1 being ancient technology that must go into the bin and everyone must lineup to upgrade to M3 Ultra devices.
