What NATIVE apps would you like 3rd party Developers to release??

^^^Says it all.

I would like the following:

Mozilla Firefox

MS Word, PowerPoint.

iChat/MSN/Adium

They would be awesome on the iPhone/iPod touch, right?

Well,

AIM = BeeJive, this was introduced in a thread previous to this one. And it is very kickass. I highly recommend it.
Office = Google Docs is quite easy to use on a touch. Powerpoint is lacking.
Firefox = Safari...what is wrong with Safari? It is a nice web browser for what it is worth...and why would a "webapp" be Firefox? It is an application that browses the web, but to Apple that isn't a "Webapp"..a webapp is an application that is exclusively only capable of being used through Safari.

Personally, I would love to see:
Wikipedia -- A NICE wikipedia based webapp that is very similar to the website's look and feel. It isn't bad to just go to the website directly, but it does take a while to load.
eBay -- made by eBay, so also very similar. With a category browse and full search and nice color support and fast bidding support.
Campusfood -- Haha, this is totally a collegeboy's request...but it would be sweet
NationalCity banking -- Again, kinda a small clientele, but my bank would really make me happy by putting out one of these
TV Guide -- So I know what's on on my way home.

iChat
Password / Account manager like eWallet
Real Notes
To-Do Lists
SMS / Voicemail / Missed call nag (configurable). Hopefully Apple will give us hooks for these.
eBook Reader
PDF Reader
Themes / Summerboard (for non-hacked iPhone)

MS Word????

Do you really think you'll be able to compose documents typing one character at a time on the on-screen keyboard.

What is needed is Bluetooth so an external mini-keyboard can be used.

Adium is nice
Wikipedia also
small gimp app for fun
small teksteditor
plugins for safari

iPod App Store - Best idea ever.

You would go on iTunes Store and click on a link that would take you to the iPod App Store. The apps would work on iPhone also of coarse.

Apps could cost anywhere from 99 cents to 5 dollars. It would be perfect!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that exactly what's coming?

Maybe, hopefully, they should.

I was just reading somewhere this quote, let me share it with you all (from a comment someone made on a digg article speculating the idea that maybe there won't be a 3G iPhone at all:

What is more likely is that Apple and/or AT&T have something completely different up their sleeves. If you can guess what it's going to be, they probably aren't doing it. But if it sounds pretty far-out or strange, that's probably it.

task list compatible with MS outlook...sorry I have to use windows at work.

i would like to see an app that could auto sense the car turning off and respond by pausing the current song and turning off. not sure if that's possible though.

I have a TuneFlex, it plugs into a cigarette lighter and has a 3.5mm jack for either a tape adaptor or an aux in but your iPod actiall connects through the dock connector. Also has a flxible arm and a pass through dock connection if you already have a fm transmitter. Anyway...since your iPod thinks it is playing through the dock connector when you shut your car off and it cuts power to the cigarette lighter it pauses the iPod.

This won't work for everyone, for instance if your cigarette light power is on when you ignition is off then it won't pause. Sorry this is so off topic hope it helps.
