Re:

What do you want your smart phone to do? Be a phone, text, keep up with contacts, runs apps or flip your burgers and give you a massage? So many different opinions of people saying blah, blah, blah this and that and many of them are just their own narrow minded opinion.

So it again it comes down to what do you want your phone to do? Any smart phone made in the past year and a half can suit your needs. Why not keep your phone and get a tablet if you're looking for a media consumption device. The Nexus 7 comes out in a few weeks. Don't get caught up in the glam and glitter.

Me personally, I've had more fun playing around with and customizing the android phones I've had but I've found my Iphone to be a bit more stable and less prone to glitches (like the constant battery pulls I had with my Droid X back in the day)

I say Gnex or GS2 if you can find one at a good price.
If you really want an iPhone, you can get a nice used iPhone 4 for ~$300. But you will not be able to get a GS3 for $400 unless you find a broken one. They go for $650 new and it just came out, so getting one that cheap won't happen for another year or so.

Again, I LOVE Windows Phone, it was something different, the keyboards great, the camera was great on the Focus S, and Its really smooth, I Still love this phone, its just missing the small features I Want/Need. Either Way, Whats your Opinion on a iP4 with iOS 6, People say its slow? If I Got an iPhone it would have to be the 4 as I Would want the nice screen and camera, and I Simply cant get a 4S.

Well, I got a 4, the screen I STILL think is incredible, it runs all the apps and games, it has got a bit slow but I haven't wiped it and installed a fresh OS which may help that, but it's not like dog slow slow, the camera is good also. The build I think is also fantastic and you CAN change the battery on it if you want, but mine is still going very strong after 2 years.

The downside is my home button is a bit knackered, but if calibrate it then it helps. I am going to upgrade to the iPhone 5 so I can get 32GB and dual core, better camera, better home button etc.

But, a freind at work has just brought an S3 16GB for £350 second hand, it retails for £490, so if you wait a couple of months and shop around you may find one, and it'll be a better buy then an iPhone 4 because it's a lot newer tech and it will have Jelly Bean 4.1 at some point.

We're not required to own only apple products on this board. They asked what phone should they get. If they wanted everyone to tell them the iPhone they wouldn't have needed this thread would they.

Thanks for your stupid reply. My only point is that the same group of people keep talking up Android devices. I never ever said or implied that we should only recommend iPhone's.

The Gnex also has the same graphics as the Nexus S which is a single core device. Something to keep in mind for games.

Its not the exact same graphics. The nexus s's gpu was clocked at 200mhz while the galaxy nexus's gpu is clocked at 384mhz. It also has much faster ram and bus speed. Its much faster than the nexus s in use.
