Same happened to me. Either they update the pre-order shipping dates, or I'll be using my 9/19 pickup phone for one week and then returning it, such an unnecessary hassle.

Sounds like me. I have multiple delivery and in store pick ups ordered. I gotta keep track of whats what. lol

Same for me. Checked out at 8:01am same exact phone with delivery date of 9/25. It went through very easy and quick this year. That pre-order info setup was pretty awesome. Hopefully the date will update.

Could this be related to the trade-in box, or not?
 
I didn't get into the site until 15 minutes after, and I was ordering (Pro 17 - Orange - 256GB) for in-store pickup. Both In-store pickup and delivery was available for 9/19 here at my location in the southwest US.

Addition info: I was ordering from the veteran's page, so I couldn't set up my order in advance, and I didn't do a trade-in.

I completed my IUP pre-pre-order at 0601 MDT and it was 09/25 delivery.
For humor I purchased a cosmic 256gb 23 minutes after ordering opened and received a 09/19 in-store.

So thought process they had this date as a default date but will ship for 9/19 delivery maybe?
 
This is the first time I saved my info and one of the only times I didn't get a launch day date in over 13 years so I guess I will go back to NOT saving my order. I really hope that it arrives on 9/19 - the only other time I got it after launch day it ended up arriving on launch day so I hope that is the case this year too since I will be out of town on the 25th.

Your went smooth because the 2TB phones are not popular. LOTS of stock. Anything 256 ProMax was 9/25 delivery within 1 minute. Oversold. I had my preorder ready yesterday. Everything went smooth but ONLY date possible 9/25 at 2 minutes after launch. I went for DeepBlue 256 ProMax

This makes no damn sense Apple! My saved preorder got 9/25 shipping right away so I did in store pick up instead. Went to order my wife’s phone from AT&T and sep 19th delivery. No way they sold out that fast for 9/19, it had to be a bug.

Many of us - same.. Me too.. All who pre-ordered (day before in bag) 256 ProMax are getting this.. But notice that 9/25 isn't '7' days after 9/19.. So that means these delivery time will likely update.. That's happened in years past to me and many others here. We can HOPE!

I was in at :02 and got processed for a 256 Pro Orange. I got a 25th date as well. Went back in 25 mins later and did in store pickup for 19th. It causes me to drive 2.5 hours round trip to the store, but at least I am not waiting on a hope and prayer that Apple moved up the dates.

Yep.. Silver less popular, 512 less popular. Not surprised your 9/19 delivery date..
Any color 256 ProMax not available for 9/19 - not even IN STORE.. YOu can choose IN STORE but then you'll get an error saying 'This Product is not available for IN STORE pickup'.. The stores want to have plenty of stock to sell on opening day.

Wait.. ONCE your preorder is COMPLETE.. you can CHANGE status to 9/19 in store pickup?
 
Trying to cancel my order and do in store pickup but "due to extremely high volumes, we are unable to answer" so can't do it yet. UGH
