They definitely had shipping default as 09/25 and ISPU at 09/19.
I suspect they won’t update the shipping dates…as Apple has never had separate default dates at launch.

When did it change for you — while the order was still “processing” or only once it moved to “preparing to ship”?
I got 9/25 for orange PM. Although it showed 9/19 when picking between which Apple store to pick up from or delivery, I’m hoping it’s just a glitch.
Got in right at 8am ordered instantly got the confirmation email at 8:00:30 am and still have a 9/25 date. Blue 512GB IUP
Same here. Had a hell of a time getting Apple pay to do it's thing only for it to not take payment.

Same. This is the first time I saved my info and the first time I'm not receiving it on launch date.
If we're talking here about a oversold whithin 1 minute, how can you explain why a saved pre-order shows a Sept 25 delivery date, but starting a new pre-order shows Sept 19?
The issue has nothing to do with “oversold”. Either Apple intentionally set the default shipping date as 09/25…or Apple has proven yet again, that software bugs are their forte.
I have a separate post regarding the shipping vs ISPU issue….and there is a plethora of comments through MacRumors about customers who also have been bitten by the “Apple Bug”.
For those that did in store pick up. Do they put a pending charge on our cards now or only charge us when up pick up the phone next Friday? It's been a while and I can't remember lol.
Varies - some people get a pending payment show up, some don't until the day of collection. Think it depends on the bank, speed of processing etc.
Ordered Cosmic Orange Pro Max 256gb at 8:02 but was in at 8:01 and it was already at 9/25So my date is 9/25
I was online and start for pre-orders, I get Sep. 25 too. Also ordered exactly what you did.
Cosmic Orange 512. I couldn't access my saved preorder, so I had to do a new order and got a 9/24-29 delivery date for a Verizon phone, so I picked in store pick up for 9/19. I then went back and tried again with an unlocked phone and now have a 9/19 delivery for that order. I'll cancel the first one as soon as it lets me.
They haven't put a pending charge on my credit card yet. I did have Apple credit that I applied to my purchase as well. I am assuming they will get around to it and there aren't any issues. If there were I am sure Apple would send an email or something telling me something is wrong.

256GB Silver. Went through pre-order steps. My email is from 7:09 central, so I was in within 5 minutes. I have the Sept 25th date. That's also what is showed when I got in. I've done this for years and haven't seen it not display the release date when I get in this early. It will be interesting to follow once UPS gets it to see what they show.
