Maybe the "loop" is a magical invention meant to keep everyone from losing their damned Apple Pencil.

Apple's Beats 1 for this even has very low volume. Hell I'm also using an AMP / DAC connected to my MBP with headphones and almost have to crank the amp full - must be heavily compressed quality. Glad I don't pay for their service

While I really appreciate the Health work they've done, most of this event was filler. Where are the computer updates Tim? It's been YEARS since we've had new Mini's worth anything or a Mac Pro. It's a critical leg of Apple's business! Too busy picking office furniture for the spaceship?

The least you could do is go send one of your toughest (I know from Apple that's asking a lot) to go beat up Bezos so he'll make a Prime Movie App for the Apple TV. But not even that.

But thanks for the 256gb, next put it in the phone.

Let's just hope! They did a pretty good job keeping the name of the iPad and even the watch secret until the event...maybe, just maybe it's the same this time. 'SE' ist just stupid

Why for god's sake would you buy a new computer every year? When I was still living in the windows world (until more than 10 years ago), I upgraded every two years out of necessity (they started falling apart at the age of 2) .... now I'm pushing 4 years on Macbooks and even more on iMacs. Updating computers every year is just insane...it already is with iPhones, but even more so with desktop computers. Improvements really aren't that skyrocketing from one year to the next ....
Well I guess Apple went with "stupid" I really don't see how "SE" is an appealing name or even makes any sense?! I don't get it.

Doubtful that it makes that much of a difference as people get devices based on the devices and the people's wants/needs and not really based on their model names.

Why does it have to be a slot? The iPad already supports sd cards and usb via an adapter ... And multi-user support is coming Monday likely.

Also, Lightning 2 supports USB 3.0. So a simple port adapter cable is all that's needed, assuming Apple enables software support as they have done with the camera connection kit. SD seems long in the tooth anyway, and unecessary considering iCloud AirDrop, and most new cameras support wifi.

Today, I was excited to see those capabilities with adapters. But they only work with the photo app. It would be nice if I can hook up a regular Hard Drive to my iPad that has all my movies and documents if I know I won't have Internet Access or very slow access. But I think eventually Apple will open it up with iOS 10.

I hook a flash drive or SD card up to my iPad all the time to transfer in all kinds of media using the Photos app. The problem is transferring out media from the iPad. But yes, you have to use the Photo app to manage the files. Using this kit you can also transfer media out of an iPhone directly into an iPad, but depending on the age of the hardware you can also use AIrDrop, without any internet access. I also have a wireless hard drive that also connects to the iPad and uses an app to manage the files. Again, the problem with iOS is that Apple restricts your ability to access files within their apps. However, you can export almost any file to DropBox or other apps which generally do provide access to files from other apps.

Those adapters actually allow many things that Apple doesn't advertise, so it's worth Googling what you can do. One surprising thing you can do is connect an iPad to hard wired Ethernet via a powered USB hub. And there are others ...

The ship is on fire folks... They are too ultra obsessed on shareholder wealth. While it's their job to do that, they have more than enough money to keep the desktop alive and refreshed.
