People should really spend the $99 Developer deal so they can really learn to figure out exactly where Apple is headed with their software and hardware releases. That is if you have half a brain and can see how the Frameworks are expanding massively to target many new features.

I think the Series 5 really seems to be the big mystery of what it will offer aside from a new casing, possibly sleep tracking, etc. But I would say this year, Apple did a fairly good job keeping the leaks discreet and unspecified, so hopefully there’s a few surprises that have not been revealed as of yet.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is not going to replace the 15-inch MacBook Pro and will instead be sold right alongside it, presumably as a higher-end option. Given that rumors suggest the new machine will not replace the current 15-inch models at this time, we can likely expect a high price point.
Hasn't there been at least 1 recent rumor stating the 15" will be discontinued?'

Edit:

Looks like that is a source reporting from another source. Who knows. I'm still excited for the 16" MBP

And in 2020--rectangles with cameras and screens. Don't wait for a "major design update" there isn't such a thing.
I want a Pyramid and a Arrowhead!
[doublepost=1567803762][/doublepost]Hopefully they will announce more watch cell carriers in the USA. Spectrum?

I'm just really not all that excited this year, but it seems like there might be a couple cool new things like Apple Tags and maybe a HomePod Mini. I'm curious about the third camera on the iPhone and the possibility of better low-light performance, but it's not something I'm clamoring for. Maybe since the rest of the iPhone update seems kinda "meh" the camera will be a bigger upgrade than we realize. I'm interested to see the titanium Apple Watch but won't be buying it this year. Hopefully they don't get rid of it like the ceramic because I'm definitely interested—I just refuse to upgrade my Apple Watch so frequently. I have to draw the line somewhere, right? Especially since the titanium will likely have a hefty price tag. I'll most likely sign up for Apple Arcade.

Currently I’d love for them to introduce a new iPhone SE!!... but probably not going to happen till next year now?

Still will see what they’ve done with the XR. And I’m going to seriously laugh if they’ve really called the new models ‘Pro’.....

Personally I’m more stoked for getting a Switch Lite this month! Will be trading in my OG Switch tomorrow.

The Tile type thing will be useful. We'd tried the Jiobit, and it was fine, but needed a subscription. If the Apple version just piggybacks on Bluetooth, it will be killer.

I will watch, always fun to see what's coming out. I'm not in the market for anything now. But who knows what they will talk me into.

New Apple Watch Models

We've heard little about the new Apple Watch models expected in 2019, so this not be the most exciting year for the Apple Watch.

Minor grammar error here. I believe it should be "so this might not be the most exciting year for the Apple Watch."

Although I think this discounts the rumor about smart bands tracking things like activity that we saw recently. Just a thought.

Look at Apple's history. Based on the rumors, this September keynote seems to be busy with Watch updates (not new model), new iPhones, talking about iOS 13, very likely announcing the tile tracker + the one more thing.

Announcing a new MacBook Pro has nothing to do with the topic of that keynote and will be unrelated. Since when Apple has introduced new computers on their September keynotes?

That's why they host an October event where they talk only computers and iPads, plus MacOS and now this year iPad OS.
It's common sense I'd say, not that I know more than any of you.

This is crazy talk, with this rational, common sense approach.......

Minor updates to the iPhones and Apple Watch. I think it could have some hilariously spun marketing BS to fill in time.
I do enjoy watching things like the Apple staffers in the audience clapping and yelling like they’re DPRN party faithful; next to bored looking journalists.

It’s not going to be as good as people hope. That’s the Trend that’s being ignored.

Here's a glass ... half empty. :p

Let's be optimistic and thankful for everything that Apple is working so hard to deliver for us. Remember that they just lost two of their long-time staffers in that boat fire. :(

Jeez... you don’t know that, nobody of us knows that. Stop pretending to know everything better than the rest, your informations are as good as ours (except if you’re involved with Apples business)

Well, the information we all have is Apple's past behaviour, and the early September event has focussed on non-Mac products since the days of "peak iPod" and that a Mac launch would be highly unusual. Yet every year we get people moaning when the new Mac Mini (or whatever is most eagerly awaited at the time) almost certainly doesn't appear.

For starters, I'd rather assume that the list of invitees to each event would be tailored to the sort of products that Apple are launching - while many guests will be interested about everything, there's no point launching a high-end MacBook pro to a room full of fashion journalists and minor celebs, or hyping new Watch bands to an audience desperate to know about 8k video editing.

So, although Apple can launch a MacBook Pro on Tuesday if it wants to - no laws of physics will be broken - if you're going to speculate without inside information, the best guess is absolutely "no".

What they did do at the "showtime" event early this year (which was, as predicted, all about entertainment) is release a bunch of Mac and iPad updates via press release in the week before. It's conceivable that the new MacBook Pro could get a quiet release - especially if the launch would otherwise go:

Tim: Oh, and one more thing... This is the new MacBook Pro... inside its just the same as the old MacBook Pro but - according to my trusty pocket tape measure - the screen is about half an inch bigger... but the most magical thing about it is that the keyboard works properly! Not that the old keyboard didn't work properly, but this new keyboard works 150% more properlyer... That's innovation! No, sorry, the new keyboard is for the 16" only because that's the one the CEO of BigFamousStudios wanted when he speed dialled me to say that they'd switch to Dell if we didn't fix the freaking keyboard by October. Er...

Yeah. I can see why they might want to do that one by press release, and keep their powder dry for new processors and GPUs next year.

The :apple:tags will launch as soon as they finish the wireless charging station. Real soon now.

As each event and each WWDC approaches I try to convince myself to avoid the rumours. Every time I fail...sigh...
Oh well. Here’s hoping there’ll be some surprises on Tuesday.

Watch fans don't think it be like it is, but it do.
