That 16" MBP looks good, not a fan of the rounded display corners though, don't believe Apple releases this with rounded display corners.

*Ahem* ;)

As a travel blogger & photog who is using his iphone for more & more of my travel photography, i am very excited for this update. Looks like the camera is going to be the main focus. I already ditched my laptop for an ipad pro for video editing which is working out great. I am getting closer and closer to ditching my dslr & lenses for my iPhone as well. I do use a gopro & a drone too. So losing the dslr set up would save a lot of weight & room in my travel bag. Looking forward to next weeks event.

ummm. They're all gunna sport an inferior Intel modem, so they're DOA in my book this year

Agreed, next years iPhone will have the X55 for sure, worth waiting for that reason alone. I don't even care for 5G, but they are such good LTE modems. Just a shame Qualcomm is such a crappy company.

Hopefully the notch will be gone too, under screen fingerprint scanner etc. Next year is when the real changes will come, this is just a stop gap year.

If the XR(or whatever they call it this year) has a 512GB option, I’m there.

Who’s skipping watching this keynote live?
I always watched Apple keynotes live stream if they’re available. But this time, I’m not going to do it anymore. The hype has simply worn off, with a bulk, if not all, the contents are already known/leaked beforehand.

Imagine being used to watch your favorite tv show live when it was being broadcast, but now the day before the show, every media are talking about the show’s spoiler.

Y'all seriously continue pushing the story that they will introduce the 16'' MacBook Pro this month.

There.Will.Be.An.Entire.Different.Event.In.October.As.Always.

I think you’re right, but if you aren’t you gotta buy JuliPuli one!

Anything on iPhone storage capacity? I think there was one old rumor at 128 Gb base, but nothing since.

While I'd agree there's nothing dramatic, but with improved Face ID, an (admittedly small) speed improvement, 4Gb RAM, a better camera and (hopefully) bigger battery, I think there's a decent amount of incremental stuff here. As an X owner (that doesn't really care about notches and camera bumps and despises my current phone's Face ID) with a little more storage I think I'll bite.

It’s not going to be as good as people hope. That’s the Trend that’s being ignored.

So much this. They are resting all of their hopes that significant camera upgrades are going to push older 6/7 gen users into upgrading. It isn’t. The design is ugly, and it’s obvious they didn’t invest money into new a new housing design just in order to save money. There is no excuse for that camera monstrosity, it’s horrible design and pride on an unseen level to expect people are going to drop $1,000+ in droves for it. Never gonna happen in 2019 when competitors are doing it better. I expect a huge drop off in iPhone upgrades and sales.

Apple is doing an S year upgrade for a few reasons.

1. To maximize more upgrades for 2020 year model. This means more 7, 8, X, XS owners will for sure make a splash upgrade next year.
2. They are putting more of an emphasis on Apple Services; Music, Arcade, Apple TV+, etc...to maintain their install base.

Oof that rear view. I’ll upgrade if it has usbc. If not I’ll be holding off again. iPhone X is aging quite well in terms of style, aesthetics, and usability

Enough already with these big camera bumps. The phones are too big, too thick and too heavy.

Maybe Nikon should just add cellular to the D850, and then boast the best cell phone camera.
So...are you suggesting that they makes things thinner...?

I’m rocking an AW Series 2 and would really love some new health sensors, faster, more efficient processor and improved altimeter to convince me to upgrade.

According to the Apple-hate crowd, iPads are only for consumption.

You must stop creating on the iPad at once! (Also applies to artists, authors, musicians and all other creatives. Oh, and non-creatives who do work on their iPad as well.)

If there are new iPad Pros introduced next month, it’ll be interesting to see what’s new. The 2018s are beastly and hardly seem to need an upgrade right now. I guess moar faster and more goodness are always welcome.

Ha. So true. I have created more on my ipad pro in the last year than i was on my laptop. Love this thing. I do everything on it. And yes, it is a beast. Will be interesting to see what Apple does next. Rumors indicate the new ipad pros aren’t coming until early 2020 tho. I won’t be upgrading this time, but i am curious. Mostly i am excited that the new ipad iOS will enable my 11” ipad pro to finally connect with an external hard drive. This will be awesome.

And price increases every year a trend that needs to end.
