Isn't the M3 Max between a 4070 and 4080 laptop version?
The hardware Ray tracing, mesh, and cashing had a great impact.

In a laptop, competing against laptop graphics is pretty good. My m3 pro MBP does what I need on the go without being plugged in for hours. IMO, the best laptop I've ever used.

For heavier needs in 3d, IMO the M3 Max doesn't really cut it for the cost vs PC desktop hardware. But many pros I talk to describe the mac studio as their favorite computer ever, despite the price to performance ratio.
