Apple has several times said it would never do something then years later changed its mind...so I am one who wishes Apple would let us dual boot on an iPad pro, either ipados or macOS. My first iMac let me do that in os9 and os10. The chips are fast enough, and we would only have to learn one system.

It would be nice if the new iPad pin-connectors allow me to position my iPad in portrait mode while typing using a magic keyboard. I'm hoping what that rumor will mean, even though it'll mean me having to buy a new magic keyboard. Fingers crossed.

I doubt he 🏒🏒 will be freezing over anytime soon.

QMS and a more stable eARC signal vis a vis room for more granular EDID data thanks to a bigger pipeline.

I’m aware eARC works on an 18Gbps pipeline, but I’ll take a bigger pipeline any day to stabilize existing features, while introducing QoL ones in the process.

For those wishing for a 27" iMac:

Since Apple has a 24" 4.5k iMac, a 27" Studio Display, and an upcoming new Mini, why would they make a 27" iMac? I could see maybe an iMac Pro of some sort, or an even bigger one, but would't it be kind of redundant? Not arguing, asking.

I'm expecting Apple to put Mx chips into redesigned keyboards and mice. Then when problems start to crop up they can issue multiple firmware updates that do nothing to fix the issues and still make them less useful than the previous gen.

Because the 24" iMac has too small of a display that is worse than the 5K, the 27" Studio Display is an overpriced piece of garbage with an iPhone grafted to it and still doesn't work as intended after multiple updates to the firmware, and the upcoming mini doesn't have a built in 5K (or greater) display.

Why is it so hard to understand that there is a segment out there that wants an all-in-one with a larger and higher resolution display and a spiffy new Mx? Pointing them to an inferior 24", an overpriced Mac Studio/Display combo, or a mini that doesn't even come with a display is seriously playing without a full deck. And the crowd that says you should just get a 4K display is seriously missing the point.

I find it hard to believe that it's already been nearly two years since I got my M1 mini. I've been really happy with it. Unless the M2 version improves substantially on it, I think I'll stick with the M1 for a while longer. It does everything I need it to do.

My opinion I doubt that they will be introducing the 27 iMac Pro this year and if they did people probably wouldn't be happy with the price point they put it at. Why would they cannibalize sales of the 27" Studio Display with the 27" iMac Pro that has the display quality of the Studio Display?

I'll upgrade to a pro 11 inch from my iPad Air 4 when they add or move the front camera to the side. M2 and stage manger don't do anything for iPad-wonky zoom calls.

iPad Pro 12.9 getting M2 and a new connector for "something". 11" no LED still? This might be a snooze fest for iPad Pro watchers.

Personally I'm still holding out for OLED. I am not interested at all in mini-LED. If I have to wait until 2024, then so be it.
