Looking forward to seeing the new iPad Pros. Waiting to see if and how Apple would implement MagSafe on iPad. Will be disappointing if 11" does not get mini LED. But looks like the display of 11" Pro might change only when Apple implements OLED on iPad.

Im intrigued to see how the new Mac Pro will work. There really isn’t much Apple can do in terms of making it modular.

The Silicon Mac Pro needs to be able to hit some high notes that’s for sure… it needs to MORE than just two Ultras M2 chipsets in a old form factor…. Hope it’s something new, similar design but distinct from the Intel Mac Pro….

Why do people keep saying that an M2 Pro/Max mini will be such a surprise? There is a space in the mini lineup for a machine that replaces the remaining Intel mac mini and also at a price point that fits between the Mac Mini and the Studio. The base Mac Mini in Australia is $1099 and the Mac studio starts at $3099... Hmm... I wonder what could fit into the lineup at ~$AU2K? 🤔

I would be more shocked if it DIDN'T happen.
An M2 Pro Mini makes sense, but not a Max. That is the Studio's role now.

Really looking forward to seeing the new iPad Pro and what Apple Silicon can bring to the Mac Pro. I'm somewhat surprised they aren't going to put an M1 in the new Apple TV - they seem to be putting the M1 in just about everything :)

I want 11” iPad Pro to replace my Air 3.
I want a refurbished M1 256GB Pro Gen 3 11" or Gen 5 Air. The Apple refurb store apparently sells redundant iPads with the old chipset worldwide. It's pathetic. I've never seen an M1 iPad there.

Yeah I had to donate my old 11" to my daughter, may get the 11" but no mini LED is annoying

iPad Air shouldn’t exist and iPad Pro should further differentiate from other iPads with SD Card, MagSafe 3 charging and USB-4 port. It is supposed to be “Pro” right? Make it Pro.

Mac Mini with support for 4 x 4K Monitors please!
That exists: it’s called a Mac Studio.
You need the “max” processor to drive that many displays, and once you add the extra ports that the Max can support & a bigger cooler, you’ve got a studio.

Maybe the move to 3nm will cut the power consumption enough to make a future Studio slightly smaller.

If Gurman was a weather forecaster he'd be telling us that in Winter it's very likely going to snow in northern Canada.

This place seems to officially view him as some kind of prophet because his accuracy is so high, but that's mostly because his hit-rate is based on predicting the darned obvious that any one of us could predict.

Who here using the full processing power of the previous iPad? And I don't mean the occasional video conversion or higher-end game, but actual full-on 4K editing, or whatever else makes continuous use of the cpu/gpu.

Games like Civ VI. Who is utilising the full processing power in Macs? Most don't.

What about the 27" Imacs? Those are very much in old tech land, time for a refresh. Or an even bigger imac..
I want one. I've had iMacs for the best part of 20 years. Currently a 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014. I very much doubt I'll be able to afford one, though. It's pretty object this will be an overpriced iMac marketed under the "iMac Pro". You now will need to spend €7,000 to get a decent hard drive size in an iMac and an SD Card built in. Sure, Apple is a for profit company, but I think more and more they make products for the elite and the wealthy people in society. Apple claims to care about the environment, but human beings are part of the environment. Timmy and his millionaire friends will get one, though.

Agreed. I'm just curious if it makes a lot of sense to keep upgrading iPad performance when there is very few software or use-cases to make use it. When would be 'peak iPad'? Maybe we already have it for the next 2 years, so adding an M2 wouldn't make much sense?

Curious if something in regards to MBP refresh (with M2?) will pop up in the Oct event. I'm currently with a MBA M1 16G/1TB and the 16G become sometimes tights with Java, VMs, Docker. The additional 8G in a MBA M2 24G might come in handy, but then why not go directly to a MBP 14" M1 Pro with 32G and be OK for next years (most likely).

On the other hand, if a MBP M2 might be around the corner, with e.g. better single core performance and perhaps slightly changed design/ports or whatever, I kinda know, I would regret in a few weeks, when I buy the M1 Pro now. :)

Damn luxury problems.
