To all those who worried about your precious Intel machines being supported, you were LIED TO.. Just like Apple got rid of PPC and didn't give a warning about it, so we are now seeing the END OF INTEL macs. Prepare for your Intel Macs to be unsupported as Apple goes full force with M1. You were all LIED TO by King Cook himself, the clown he is. My condolences go out to those who spent ridiculously high price for the 2019 Mac Pro - Cook got you all good ! Now, you will be unsupported as Apple is moving to end Intel Support as late as middle of 2021.

But, keep up the fight though.

What are the chances that the new Apple silicon iMac will actually look like the one featured in the prototype pictures. I have a 27" Late 2009 iMac and can't wait to upgrade this iMac. However, since replacing the HDD with a SSD in this, it runs High Sierra well. Good enough to the point that I don't mind waiting for an iMac version that has a different front profile. The 2020 iMacs still look identical to my Late 2009...Not that it's an issue as it still looks good. However, I'd prefer, when/if upgrading, for a model that looks markedly different.

We could say, that Cook did cook all these, who where buying Apples expensive things, that soon will get obsolete and without support.

Timmy Cook said, that the transtition process will take 1-2 years.

My prediction is, that the last OS, that will support Intel Macs will be the version, that comes in 2022. After 2023, no more new OS for Intel Macs.

The old version will get security patches through, but that is.

I wish everyone all the best and happy new year! ✨

I’m curious as to what happens with many wired accessories if Apple gets rid of charging ports. For instance, I have a high quality audio interface that connects via Lightning. How would those type of accessories work if there’s no way to connect them? Bluetooth?

This is all about hardware, I would like to see some proposals for iPadOS and iOS 15. There is a lot to improve...

Looks like 2021 will perhaps be a bit easier on my wallet... Can’t wait to see the new iMacs though!

The questions I have: will 2nd generation Apple silicon be the big upgrade we all hope?

Will Apple finally take a bigger bite out of the video game market and put out a capable Apple TV?

Can the Apple Watch GPS improve while increasing battery life by 10-15%?

How much will Apple bolster their services?

What will be the future f the Beats brand?

Will Apple invest in DLSS type tech?

Can we expect 1080p cameras on all laptops?

Will Apple

Accessories with high data throughput are not likely to be coming to Bluetooth anytime soon I think, not to mention things like latency. There is no solution for those cases as far as I can see it right now.

I am only interested in an ARM Mac mini.

Would make the perfect mobile computer to install in a Prius or Luxury Mobile home.

But I'm waiting for the 5G model. So you can be all the way in the desert or mountains and still get internet

iPhone SE 'Plus' full-screen design 👌
no Face ID, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the power button on the side of the device is good enough for me

this will easily be my next iPhone. no notch
not too worried about the camera, magsafe extra stuff etc

Wrong, the PowerPC to Intel migration was shared in advance of 2006, when the first Intel Macs were released.

So here are some dates and Mac OS X versions around the the PowerPC to Intel transition, based on a 2005 Mac mini (PowerPC) that I bought in 2005:
  • Purchased Mac mini in 04/2005. OS X 10.3.7, 512 MB memory, 140 GB HDD.
  • Transition from PowerPC to Intel from 01/2006 to 08/2006 (Xserve finished in 12/2006)
  • OS X 10.5.8 last supported version for PowerPC
  • OS X 10.5 released 10/2007. 1 year and 2 months after the non-Xserve transition to Intel finished.
  • OS X 10.5.8 released 08/2009. 3 years after the non-Xserve transition to Intel finished.
  • I used my 2005 Mac mini, for what I needed, until 2016 when I replaced it with a 2014 Mac mini (Intel).
I had plenty of OS X releases for, and usage of, my PowerPC Mac mini. Far, far beyond the end of the Intel migration in 2006.

Most of these are very ordinary guesses.

Year of the Laptop was pretty ordinary, even in terms of laptops.

Apple declared 2003 or something like that as the year of the laptop- and those were pretty awesome at that time.

I have a feeling the device will simply reuse the shell of the 8+.

Why would I want to install a Mac in a car? I can play media on an iPad easily.

You could be right.

I am just looking for something that is all screen.
And close to flat as possible.
I am done with the bezels and camera bumps.

Even better if also “affordable”
