Don't hope too much,.Keynote has run for an hour...don't think there's space for anything else...Desktop line..if we are lucky will land with ML in Summer.
So is it the case that sometimes Apple updates a product line without announcing it at all?
Could I randomly be browsing the apple store in a week or two's time and find a new iMac has been released without me knowing about it?
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but spec updates have happened like that before.
I think we'll see Ivy Bridge, USB 3, updated graphics performance, and better SSD options. I don't think that's enough to be mentioned in the presentation when there's so much other stuff to talk about today.
1) wait this evening to end
2) wait the wwdc to end
3) open your wallet and buy whats available
i went for the 2011, happy with it
i think it has more sense that the specs-bump happens today rather than 1-2-3 (100 more weeks) otherwise there will never be an ending point![]()
Considering Mountain Lion is shipping next month, they may wait but I'm hoping they don't.
Heart sinks with "Scott's coming for an update on iOS" no room for one more thing on hardware then...
Ditto.![]()
But we can ask Siri about restaurants in SF and batting averages in major league baseball...![]()
For the "maybe they'll sit on a computer for 3 months so they can ship it with a $30 operating system upgrade" crowd - they announced that from today forward all new Macs get a free upgrade to mountain lion.
The Mac Pro is a desktop right, have they announced that?
Yes it is, and no they haven't.
Well there's some hope there
Yes it is, and no they haven't.
Is the Mac Pro a for sure update? Maybe it'll be announced following that
Apple works in mysterious ways...
But there was even stronger evidence pointing to an imminent update of the Mac Pro than the iMac. Seeing a press release before the day's over with new Mac Pros and iMacs wouldn't be the least bit surprising.
