The iMac update is likely not a "big announcement" - just the usual silent update - probably in the next few weeks.
No Imac till here, nor MacPro...can't be such fail...just specs bump and a retina...![]()
I don't find it tempting at all. Imagine how lame it will be when a company won't BOTHER to update their products to suit your laptop.
I am pissed.
I am pretty ticked off been waiting years feel like I was just punched in the mouth
I feel the same, time to build a hackintosh and apple only have themselves to blame![]()
Would they be kind to us and say something like: "and we've not forgotten about the iMac, that'll be getting an update in the coming days/ next week/ next month"
Any chance of that?

Hmm. I'm hoping for a silent refresh with a spec. bump (Ivy Bridge, USB3, etc.).
But... if the iMac was going to get that, why not mention it in the Keynote? After all, the MBA & MBP updates were just a spec. bump. The only thing worthy of the Keynote was the "Next Gen" Retina MBP. So, if they used the Keynote to mention the spec. bumped MBA and MBP, why not also mention a spec. bumped iMac? Unless, of course, it doesn't exist![]()
Here are the possibilities:
- It's a minor update. Not worth spending Keynote time on. Press release this week or next.
- There's a component shortage somewhere (say, they've gone back to Nvidia and can't any 680M's), so they're on hold.
- They're working on something huge but it's not fully cooked yet.
The 650M in the Retina MBP doesn't look too tempting for me. So wait I will.
There's a chance or they might just show up in the store when it comes back up.
Been waiting for 6 months now I'm not sure what do do now![]()
