Aside from the new design and the larger body, the Apple Watch Pro is expected to include all of the same features as the Series 8. It will be more expensive, perhaps priced somewhere in the range of $900 to $1000.
Gulp.

Although, the price point (if true) would make the "Will It Blend" style tests all the more fun to watch.

Getting a new phone this year, my iPhone 11 Pro's battery is on its last leg. I was going to go with a standard one, but the always-on display might just make me go with the pro again. I've been wanting that forever.

No new Watch as I have a S7 that's working just fine, and I'm really, really sad about the disappearance of the titanium. The Watch Pro... meh. A new, flatter design would be nice but it's going to be too big and I don't need the rugged part. We'll see next year. I usually upgrade them every other year.

New AirPods Pro... maybe. If they have volume control (!!).

I am going to do this:

AW6 SS --> Garmin Epix 2 (the main reason is battery life) - done
iPhone 12 Pro --> Galaxy Fold 4 (I wanna try folding phone) - done in few days
APP --> Sony WF XM4 (better suited for Andorid, LDAC for example) - done in few days

I'll be left with MBP M1 & APM.

I'll come back full throttle Apple when Apple wins me over again.

14PM for me.

If it was anything more than the activation fee and a new case to lay out, I would probably stick with my 13, but my carrier lets me upgrade with trade in, so who wouldn't get a new phone?

Oh, here. Here's a new phone. Just pay the $40 fee and you bill stays the same. Yeah, of course.

I'm expecting to be disappointed. Apple has been delivering quite well so far on my expectations.

The Apple Watch Pro rumour is the bewildering one for me. A watch aimed at fitness enthusiasts which is a huge chunk of their customer base but priced at £900-£1000? I have no idea what Apples thinking is with that one to be honest. It sounds like a watch with all very appealing features, especially longer battery life which is a huge bugbear on the current watches, but at a price point that will put off so many of those currently using the sport watches. Odd in the extreme.
There are already fitness oriented watches in the $1000 range by Garmin and others. I don’t know how much this new watch will be tuned to that market but it is not like that market doesn’t exist.

Now that Apple is moving away from so called "small" phones (phones that allows thumb gestures / one-handed operations without bad software hacks), it is for many of us time to discuss alternatives. I would welcome recommendations in the Android space, etc...

Are there any such phones in the high end segment? Or any good ones at all? Or have them all been replaced by phablets? Thanks!
My understanding is that the Android market is even more about large phones. I don’t see any reasonable options for those of us who don’t want the largeness.

They are still very much at the niche end and if you’re spending £1k+ on a fitness watch, I’m pretty sure you’re going to go for a Garmin or other types that are considerably more accurate than an Apple Watch.

Skipping this iPhone I’ll wait for Something more then an upgraded camera.
If the upgrade is really good, I could be tempted to upgrade, but I doubt it will be anything significant this year.

I hope the Apple Watch is a step up, from the 7. Been wanting to upgrade my s4.

Did I miss a rumor article somewhere or is this the first one that suggests that there's even a small chance that new iPads will be introduced next Wednesday, as opposed to next month alongside the Macs? If true, that would be sweet.

There's always a small chance but it is incredibly unlikely considering they bumped iPadOS back to October.

I would say that this is almost certainly the least exciting iPhone release since there has been an iPhone. I wish I had more of an excuse to justify an upgrade from last year's model, but it's just too marginal.

Do you remember the iPhone 7 & 8? Even less updated.
