How are you liking Enterprise?

I finally watched it in its entirety sometime between late 2012/early 2013 and thought it was a great series despite people thinking of it as the black sheep of the Star Trek universe.

This is the third time I've attempted to watch it. The first 2 times hated it and declared it as 'not real trek'. However this time round I'm actually enjoying it. I'm watching the third season now. On my previous attempts I didn't make it past season 1.

I think after watching the JJ Abrams movies, I've become more open to different styles. I was a purist before lol

I find it quite interesting, especially looking at the pre Federation universe.

the pitch is great!
he goes in and invests in businesses and helps make them better.
its pretty good tv show
i also like shark tank!

I'm glad you're enjoying Enterprise. I want to say that the show really got going about half way into season 1. Keep in mind that it took 3 seasons for TNG to really get going.

I'm definitely a purist in the sense that to me, the Star Trek universe exists between TOS and Nemesis. That includes all the shows and movies with the exception of the animated series and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

I can't stand the JJ Abrams' Star Trek and was deeply insulted with that tragedy as a long time Trek fan. I'm glad people enjoyed it and it got them more interested in Star Trek, I always see Star Trek on the popular choices on Netflix, but I really don't consider JJ Abrams's Star Trek, real Star Trek.

Yes Abrams isn't real Trek, I've categorised it as 'another trek' in my mind. I enjoyed the first film but not so much the second film, not happy with he they butchered the Wrath of Khan, it's blasphemous! It I think it made me more appreciative of Enterprise. At this point I'll take any kind of Star Trek that I can get, even if that has to be Abrams trek. Also the way I see it is the more successful the Nu Trek films are the more likely we are to get another TV show, which would hopefully be more classic a trek.

At least we still have the books where real Star Trek is still alive. I know it's not cannon but it mostly manages to capture the true spirit of Star Trek.

On the retro route, for the benefit of the 16-year-old:

Sliders
Farscape
Warehouse 13.

The wife and I have just started Grey's Anatomy.

Current series:
Bates Motel
Agents of SHIELD
Law and Order: SVU
Sean Saves The World
The Michael J. Fox Show
Dads
The Goldbergs

I have a huge collection of movies, documentaries cartoons etc. Just finished watching the Mayday series about aircraft accident investigations and have just started watching Space and Beyond.

All stashed away on my Pegasus R4 and can be viewed on either TV or on my iPad, iMac and phone. I use Air Video server and my two ATV units to stream stuff.

4 TB of full 1080P content should keep me going for a very long time:)

Updated:

finally got fed up with Arrow's soap opera business. So that's over.

Presently,

The Following (even though I loathe most of the Followers, James Purefoy and Kevin Bacon are fun.)

Upcoming:

Vikings season 2 (came into season late and ultimately enjoyed it.)
The Americans season 2 (have to catch up on Season 1)

Good for you! :D I couldn't stand it past second episode...and even that is probably exaggerated.

Watching Masters of Sex and True Detective myself right now. What a treat. And always Seinfeld..

Am curious about Mob City, too. Should've started not too long ago (?).

First put out by the BBC in the 1970's but still the best look at the 1914-1918 war.

I kept telling myself, Arrow is not that bad (the island stuff remains the best element), but ugh, not even Manu Bennett's fun take on Deathstroke can save this hot mess.

Mob City just got the cancellation call (sorry to be the bearer of bad news.)

As much as the Following makes me roll my eyes, I find myself thinking about the characters a bit more than I expected. So I keep watching and hope the season 2 lunatics all meet a very nasty demise (along with those killers and cultists who made it out of season 1 alive.)

Aww..didn't know that. Well, at least going to get a mini-series...

...never heard of the Following. Two series at a time is actually more then enough for me (what do you think about True Detective?). Already passing on Treme for now, which did look quite intriguing.

p.s.: Punisher #1 was a bit of a bummer for me. :D
Pre-ordered couple of MoonKnights while I was at it, hope they turn out better.

Breaking Bad (season 5)
Game of Thrones
Viking
Top Gear (UK)
The Big Bang Theory
Sherlock (UK movie/series with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin "The Hobbit" Freeman).
Still have to watch the two seasons of Rome.

Portlandia anyone?

(House of Cards, Game of Thrones I hope to start, etc.)

Yep, waiting for the next season to start.

Haven't watched any GoT yet, but my neighbor lent me her S1 Blu-Rays the other day, so I'll probably start soon. Also keep hearing about True Detective so I'll probably start that too.

Otherwise been binging on House of Cards, old Kids in the Hall episodes, and Community.
