That you know better than?

I don't think blasting my E3C's into my ear canal at 12-hour intervals is especially healthy.

I don't think that meatball sub last night was an especially healthy idea, either...

You?

Have binges where I eat excessive amounts of junk food, mostly comprising of chocolate based goods and confections. I usually eat quite healthily the rest of the time.

Not having gone to the gym for 3 months is also unhealthy.

-Homemade ice cream? Excellent but unhealthy.

-Taking the bus to school in the morning when school's only two miles away... (At least I walk home!)

-Spending an hour or so cruising MR

It's Entirely Gastronomic For Me

I'm pretty sure that two Iced Grande Mochas a day isn't the best idea in the world. Five Guys probably isn't helping either. Nor are all those combo platters @ Moby Dick. And the Ribs, Chicken, Pork emsamble over @ Old Glory is something I've never been good at staying away from. And I doubt going back for a second plate of omelette, suasage patties, hashbrowns, and grits @ The Royal is going to make me the poster child for dietary excellence.

That's about it. I'm a slave to my tummy. One day the metabolism is going to slow down and BAM! I'll be a short Walter Hudson.

What Unhealthy Things Do You Do...that you know better than?
-Eat too richly.
-Eat too much crap.
-Eat too much, period (like, sheer quantity).
-Don't exercise.
-Drink too much alchy.
-Don't sleep enough (I've tried, honestly).
-Shop too much.
-Browse MR too much.

:edit: Dang it max_alt, naming more of my boo-boos.

-Too much caffeine.
-Not enough water.
-Not enough calcium.

Work 10-12 hours a day at a desk job, then am too mentally fried when I get home to exercise.
I don't overeat, but I don't eat smart. What is that thing? a vegetable, you say? hmmm...

Those two things have all but destroyed any feeble attempt my 44-year old metabolism was making to keep up.

I tend to eat at least one thing of chocolate everyday, and every night the hubby has gotten me in the habbit dessert after dinner. Just last night I told him that we should start to cut back to every other night. :)

I also tend to slouch or have poor posture at my desk. It's contributed to my TMJ Dysfunction, which is bad. Who knew posture was THAT important??

I don't shop, I don't drink. But, everything else I do. A lot. And, I sit in a chair almost the entire day. Let's see...train, light rail, bar review, study, light rail, train, sofa. I spend about 16 hours a day in 7 different chairs. I just don't move.

Oh, and I also try and take on my family's stress. If they feel it, I feel like I have to feel it. Can't be good for the body.

And if the hubby's feeling it I'm feeling it. And lately, we've been feeling a lot of it. :(

In his defense, he at least gets in over a mile of walking a day. :)

Assume that every car will stop when I step out onto a pedestrian crossing.

I almost got hit by a bike messenger last week ... sometimes they actually make some of the NY taxi drivers seem normal. Speaking of assumptions, Blue, how naive was it of me to actually expect that he would at least go with the proper flow of traffic?

I'm actually fairly healthy:

- I walk to school everyday.
- I rarely eat sugar cereal unless its a special occasion.
- I eat all my vegetables ;)
- I rarely eat fast food. (I haven't had McD for over 6 months)
- I don't drink soda often. (Maybe 3-4 times a month)
- I drink two glasses of milk everyday
- I drink 32oz of water a day, if not more.

Did you read the thread title?

What UNHEALTHY things to do you...and you know you do.

Sit down with a 250g bag of cornchips, hungover on a Sunday with the girl and watch bad movies. I don't share any of the chips.

I also drink over 2.5L of iced coffee each day and spent AU$120 (US$90) on pizza this week.
