i tried firefox with a safari theme but still cant get past the pc-ish drop down menus and fonts...tried shiira with a brushed metal theme and its ok..

but shiira's not actually any lighter than safari. it uses virtually the same if not more resources than safari for the same pages. and the thing that annoys me the most: when filling out forms, TAB will not advance to the next field.

im sticking with safari and safarispeed.

Shiira's built-in navigation icons are so hard to understand. Those green fishies make for a hard time using the browser. Also, I am not a fan of drawers so Shiira is off my list of "great" browsers.

You can d/l different ones from http://hmdt-web.net/shiira/icon-e.html I d/l the DeepSky one, and it looks good w/ the metal.

And one question about the Shiira dmg. Can I eject the dmg and still have Shiira runnin'? Cause it won't let me eject when I'm usin' it??

Are you running it directly out of the DMG? In that case definitely no. Is there some reason you wouldn't copy it to your apps folder and run it from there? Then you shouldn't need the DMG anymore, and you should be able to eject it and then run Shiira....

safari, firefox when i'm on a peecee at work if i can at all avoid internet exploder..

i cant stand firefox on the mac, dunno why. dont like camino either much. will have a look at Shiira tho...

I have many browsers that I use:

Usually the great SHIIRA,
Often Mozilla,
Sometimes Firefox and Safari,
Occasionally Omniweb, Camino, iCab and Netscape
Rarely Internet Explorer,
Hardly ever Opera or SunriseBrowser

Is there a way to get rid of the folders on the bookmark bar in Camion. I like the transparent look of the bar in Firefox. More like Safari.
