Just a back camera, dreaming about it since i've seen the camera on original iPhone.

I haven't seen a retina display yet, so I can't comment about it.

Like most for me its the retina display followed by the dual cameras if any are missing they would be deal breakers as it seems inevitable that sooner or later they would make their way to the touch.

My #1 is definitely the Retina Display, closely followed by a camera, I don't REALLY care whether it's front or back but back would be nice.

The Camera's followed by the retina display. I'm hoping apple has some sense in its head and gives it that 5mp back camera. Even though i'm getting my first DSLR this year i still want a decent camera for quick shots.

GPS and 3G. Gotta have it. Once you use it on the iPad you don't want to go back. I'm tired of the Touch being the iPhone's retarded brother. No GPs, me no buy. That's it!
I know it seems harsh to say but what I want is an iPad mini not a glorified iPod. Seeing that it (the Touch) is in the iPod family I know that it has to live within it's limitations. It's just that those limitiations are no longer acceptable. As I said once you go on to an iPad the Touch's limits become a burden. We can expect the new retina screen from the iPhone to make it look better and an A4 chip but it might be the older 256M one. WIFI will be the N speed version and a front facing camera with maybe a rear one but I tend to doubt that as Apple clearly has no problem putting limits on the Touch. In the final analysis the Touch is an iPod not an iPhone and not an iPad.

Oh and one other thing I'd kill for, and no one seem to be talking about this, is a built in microphone. I'd like to be able to use apps that require mics, such as Shazam, without having to get out my headphones.

i agree, microphone would be a cheap and good addition.its on the headphones anyway so why not give it out of the box.

i have an idea of sorts.why cant apple release a version of the touch in 32 gig at the price point of $499 and include gps,3g and iphone's camera in it?it would be a true phoneless iphone, and priced close enough to the iphone to make apple comfortable.think about it.

That's because it's what Apple wants it to be.

Give customers a data-only 3G iPod touch and people will start using skype with it, with a Jailbreak if necessary.

Or, they'll sell their iPhone, buy a dumb phone and use the iPod touch for their media use.

EDIT: back on subject... I want a GPS. The rest is basically confirmed.

Retina Display and a Rear Camera for me. I don't even care about the Facetime camera. If they add it, great, if they don't I will still get the new iPod as long as they add a rear camera!!!! Oh, and definitely a built-in Mic. It wouldn't make sense if they add the Facetime but not a mic.

It would be nice if they bumped up the capacity, but that most likely won't happen. I'd really like the camera, a retina display and the iPhone 4's sleek design. After a couple of years waiting to move up from my white 80GB, these additions would make me more than happy.

lol. Comic Sans has been haunting me since the late 90s.

I'm no typographer (or whatever one of those guys is called), but isn't the font "papyrus" considered even more tacky and inappropriate than Comic Sans? I know c.s. is still tacky, and all, but give it a break! It's not the worst!:p

Excuse my fonts. Demonstrative purposes only. Still retina display as my #1 feature hope.
