iPod touch What will be the key feature of ipod touch 4g for you?

Not at all. What spec sheet are you looking at? The one I have says it has a physical keyboard (although it says it will be Dvorak which I think is a poor choice.)
I'm no typographer (or whatever one of those guys is called), but isn't the font "papyrus" considered even more tacky and inappropriate than Comic Sans? I know c.s. is still tacky, and all, but give it a break! It's not the worst!

They're both equally ugly/overused.
Rear facing camera would be the key feature for me with better battery life coming in at a close second.
Seriously, are we talking about the same product here? The iPod touch? What Spec sheet are you looking at? (And I agree, Dvorak is crap.)
Its gota be the A4 for me. My 1g ipod touch is really not keeping up with the newest apps, and i can feel the lag even when scrolling through music. Other than that, im looking forward, to retina, i got a fleeting glimpse of it a week ago and ever since ive been wanting a clear look at it. Itl be nice to look at it everyday as aposed to the normal screens
He is joking about the physical keyboard. The Dvorak reference makes it quite obvious.
The killer feature for me is if they double the capacity to 128GB. Probably wouldn't happen this year, though. *sigh*
I second kingofkings8183. Are you high? Not even one person has mentioned a physical keyboard in the possible redesign ideas. Are you trollin'?

Ok its nice, but Samsungs SAMOLED is still the better choice.
3. AudioChip.
Please, do something about the AudioChip Apple.
SRS would be ok, Dolby Mobile would be awesome (Virtual 5.1).
It has always be known, that the Soundquality of the Ipod Line isnt the best. (ever listend to Cowon?)
Heck, even the Zune has better Audioquality!
With those improvements, the Ipod touch would be untouchable by other products.
And I could live with not having an SAMOLED but instead the Retina Display

The reason no one is talking about 128GB, is the iPhone didn't get the 64GB bump yet. It stands to reason that if they can't yet fit (or can fit but can't make it affordable) the extra memory into the iPhone yet, they aren't going to do it in the touch. It would make iPhone users scream... if touch can have 128GB and all they can have is 1/4 of that? That wouldn't fly.
Aside from the fact that 64GB is way more than enough for the vast majority of people out there.
And the audio chip. Again, for most people out there, the audio from iPods is fine and dandy. The testament to this is seeing how many people use the included Apple headphones. Those are the weakest thing, are pretty bad, yet, most people either can't hear the difference or don't care. I'm a musician, and audio engineer, and I frequently use the Apple headphones. Simply because they are more comfortable than any headphones I've used. I find that I get used to the sound after not too long. Point is, the audio chip good enough for most. For pure audiophiles, I suppose there are other options.
you're right about SAMOLED though. i havent seen a retina display but SAMOLED is beautiful.
thats a reason why im seriously considering the Galaxy S.i mean i hate samsung and android but look at that gorgeous screen and lightening fast hardware that plus divx and mkv support take that phone well over the touch in multimedia capabilities.

Thats exactly why i belive there has to be a bump in the capacity, that clearly states If you want an phone get the iphone - if you want multimedia expirience get an touch.
And yet, the 64GB of touch3 is one of the most selling products.

I wonder if those "most people" have ever listend to better quality. And yes, you would hear the difference even on those standart headphones. But one of the most important things is, the touch is supposed to be an multimediaplayer. So it is normaly that you would appreciate a movie, which has good audioquality, even more if you could hear the good audioquality. Lets face it, what good is it if you rip a dvd to the ipod and you are happy with the picture, but you have audio which is like you had filmed it with your iphone ;-)

Other 2 things that also would make me happy.
Better OutSpeakers. So that i can use it also as Musicstation.
The Ones are not that great, they are just ok.
And also what would be nice is Voicerecognition.
And I dont mean that like what they did with the Ipod Shuffle.
I mean real VR. So that you can speak with your touch and it will give you answers. Kinda your personal Servant ;-)

Thats interesting if the 4th generation was to go through a redesign They may put the speakers at the top similar to iphone 4. Couldn't they?
