I thought they were going to call it

The iphone Palm Pre4G 3.5G

to confuse those older folks looking to buy a phone for their tween.

I wished they dropped the "3G". Apple is about simplicity. There is no other model for sale that is not 3G. So just call it iPhone. Even if they introduce a budget 2G model, just call it the iPhone. You don't get different names for each Macbook Pro of different specs.

iPhone X
iPhone Copy&Paste
iPhone 09'

I really don't care for the name because people will ask us and we will reply "an iPhone"

Unless people really care to say "No this isn't an Original iPhone it's an iPhone 3G"

Lol.

The iPhone's defining feature was the whole package; it being an iPhone was the most prominent feature of the original iPhone. Last year, the iPhone's defining feature was 3G. In fact, if you had to pick one feature to differentiate the original iPhone from the second, it would be 3G.

I hope Apple continues this reasoning, and names it iPhone Video, since it's very likely it'll have a video-capable camera (which will be it's defining feature). Although I think they could also go back to simply "iPhone", which would be great.

I want an iPhone X or iPhone Z to release, but I'll settle for iPhone 2009 or [New] iPhone 3G. Even an iPhone Matte or iPhone 2009.

The New iPhone Vista.
To confuse windows buyers :D

Jk.

iPhone Pro, iPhone Video, iPhone, iPhone 3G, The New iPhone, or something like that. Apple keeps simple.
