Happiness and peace of mind for all my friends and family.

Give me that, and you have a deal.

I'm so much into CS whereas networking is an increasingly important part - so giving up the Internet and everything related to it would be like giving up a major part of my identity... which I would need to fill with something else. I just wouldn't give it up unless I were in a situation by which it was totally necessary to do so. But maybe it would be a bit easier if I had a lifetime supply of food, cocaine and luxury prostitutes (no street-girls, but they should not be virgins either).

Lifetime supply wouldn't last too long in that case :D

Staff. And the resources to support them.

The staff would do the emailing, and print them for me or read them to me. Would look things up on the internet for me. Movies I can rent from a video shop. Newspapers I would have delivered (or the staff would print out the online versions)....

.... you get the idea. Staff would do the internet thing, and I would get the hardcopies.

Internet=Freedom.

You will never, ever offer me anything to willingly give it up. Now if I was coerced into it to save lives or whatnot, thats a different story.

I wonder how old some of the responders here are.. I can almost imagine being as tied to the internet as many here seem to be if it had existed my whole life. Some of the responses here are pretty outlandish. As it is if the internet were to vanish tomorrow I don't think the world would be any worse off and I know my life wouldn't change much, if at all.
