AT&T's CEO is so anti-consumer it hurts. When I hear them ask him what his biggest mistake was and he said "unlimited data plans" I couldn't believe it. I'm selling my AT&T iPad and switching to Verizon as soon as the new iPhone is out.
Hmmm, a quick check of the Forum Rules shows that posting links to petitions is a violation
I would suggest you use the Contact Us link at the bottom of most pages to voice your concerns about the rule to the administration and have them review it
Somewhat off-topic, but what is the likelihood that AT&T does not allow the "unlimited" data crowd to renew contracts with unlimited data, again?
I have been a proud iPhone owner since the very first models came available. I've been on unlimited data through the 3G, 3Gs, 4, and now the 4s. I'm very curious to see if AT&T will allow the "unlimited" data plan to roll over into the "5" (or whatever they decide to call the next model iPhone).
My thoughts? "Hello Verizon!"

Actually, I'm glad they are charging and I hope they make a lot of money from doing so.
I never use FaceTime, nor do I envision myself needing to use it on a cellular network. So I'm not going to whine and complain about something that has no relevance. Even if that were the case, there are several other ways to video call over a cellular network, so it really is a non-issue for me.
If someone thinks they actually need to use FaceTime over cellular and can't figure out a workaround, then they deserve to pay extra; that's on them. I hope they make lots of money by doing this now so that in the future they won't try to raise my monthly fees, reduce my services, or terminate the unlimited plan. Data is data, but until they threaten to change a feature/service I actually care about, they can do whatever they want.
I guarantee you 90% of the people complaining about this don't even use Facetime. They're just complaining for the sake of it.
Obviously you have at&t. Now what's your phone bill like with them? I have sprint and I have the unlimited plan for 102.00 with taxes. I feel that I pay to much money with sprint.I guarantee you 90% of the people complaining about this don't even use Facetime. They're just complaining for the sake of it. Besides, if you dont like what they're doing, go to another carrier. Its their network and you play by their rules. Simple as that. No one is putting a gun to your head to remain with ATT. As for the 'data is data' argument, data is whatever ATT interprets it to be. Its their network and if you dont like it leave.

im actually on sprint as well and pay $70 a month for 450 mins plus unlimited anything. i will be switching my service to verizon once the new iphone is out. i will gladly pay an extra $30 month to get rid of these dialup '3g' speeds. in the past 2 years with sprint ive quickly learned unlimited plans ruin the network. id rather go to another vendor where data is more controlled, faster as well as reliable.
