For instance, just this morning we saw 48 megapixel proraw photos will be 80 megabytes! Whatever you thought you were fine with in the past, won’t be as adequate. Future proof!
Have a 512GB iPhone 13 Pro, and it’s filled. In fact I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to ‘free up space’… so awkward. Thank me laterokay, Tim. Thanks for the upselling tip
Guess you don’t take any movies, listen to any lossless music… sounds like you don’t hardly use your phone? Go out in public? Idk you do you.Never going to be using ProRaw, so no.
You never fly on a plane? You never are without cell service? You delete everything off your phone immediately after you play it? Interesting…I am on 256 at the moment, and will stick with 256. A large percentage of it is taken up by music, which I never listen to as I stream everything now.
You realize that’s nothing really, right? I have 80k photos and 7k videos in my iCloud Photos library… I feel like people end up missing out on capturing life when they pick these low storage sizes… 128GB? LolSo 3000 ProRaw images on a 256GB phone.. That's fine![]()
Well yeah, it’s harder to fill up with an iPhone 12… no ProRaw, no ProRes… I could go on and on. People had 64GB with their iPhone 7, don;t fill it up, and then upgrade and are shocked that technology has progressed and storage sizes for files blow them out of the water. I tried to warn yaI have 85gb available on my 128gb iPhone 12. Think I'll stick with 128gb thanks.

I feel that for this phone, AT LEAST 512GB is necessary just for a decent experience. people here are going to be shocked later when they are full, can’t return the phone cause it’s 3 weeks into ownership… and then have to just deal with maxed storage for the life of the phone. YikesI’m on the fence. I’ve had 256 for the past few years and it’s been great. I always have at least 100gb free, but I take tons of photos and use iCloud library so it’s always worked out. However I have been getting annoyed at having to “load” images and videos, so I have been considering going up to 512 so I can keep originals on my phone.
Whenever I buy a new iPhone I always get the highest capacity Apple offers. For instance, just this morning we saw 48 megapixel proraw photos will be 80 megabytes! Whatever you thought you were fine with in the past, won’t be as adequate. Future proof!
I mean I heard everything you said but… you never want to go back and re-live the moment? I do all the time, through my pictures and videos…. I’ve never once said “gosh, wish I didn’t have this visual memory of this important moment”No i don't take movies. And don't see why. Maybe i might download something on Netflix for a trip. But no need to keep them for normal usage.
I listen to ton of music, but over bluetooth. Makes no sense to use lossless files until we get lossless bluetooth.
I'm currently using about 45GB of space. Thanks to cloud services i don't need to have every song or picture in highest quality on my Phone at all times.
Personally i prefer to "capture life" by being present. A few pictures here and there as a reminder is nice, but constantly hanging on the Phone to capture the moment will actually take you out of it. I have about 5k Photos and i don't feel like i missed anything.
so busy capturing the moment that they are not actually living in the moment.1tb is good for people who go to a concert and record the whole thing. Took my step son last Sunday to kid cuddi concert. I'm 40 he is 15. I listened to kid cuddi since day n nite. I was not on my phone. He was. Recorded the whole thing. over 500+ pics. The majority of the teenagers there did the same thing. How do people enjoy events anymore? I took 3-5 pics and 1-2 videos. Then enjoyed the concert while I drank some IPA.
