Jesus... give it a rest! This a a Mac rumors web site and if you read the article it is pretty obvious this is their opinion what is likely to happen next year. Are you seriously telling us you are confused by this??
Forgive my sarcasm on post #154 (the one that you referenced). The author of the article was telling the person to read the article, and I was trying (albeit poorly) to ask, in a sardonic way, "Do you mean the words below the headline?" Regrettably, by your post, I see that I failed, and in that regard, please forgive me.

Oh, and it's "Jeffy". Jesus is my friend at work, and he doesn't let me use his MacRumors account.

;)

The 6S is an amazing improvement over the previous model. The iPad Pro is an experiment. You also forget stuff like the new MacBook, which is absolutely amazing.

I have a 6s which replaced my iPhone 6 but I didn't notice any earth shattering improvements. I also replaced my MBA 11" with the new 12" Macbook for the retina display which is great. I don't particularly care for the single new USB Type C port as only source for peripherals. I only see these as being modest increments in hardware.

You got it all wrong. It's the cyanide. It's not iOS for everyone, it's the new OS. Timmy will keep investors happy and that's it. iOS could be ran on top of any other if it is well done.

I don't think Tim Cook will be able to keep investors "happy" in 2016 unless he pulls off a major acquisition like Tesla or Netflix. Stock was DOWN about 4.5% this year - that makes nobody happy. Also Apple doesn't have much in the near turn pipeline besides the next iteration of existing product lines.

Tim will be under serious pressure to focus more on the bottom line and less on social issues.

what if the rumoured "camera" in the apple watch is the opposite - a hologram projector.

Skylake 13" rMBP with a dedicated GPU. That's my wish.

Not gonna happen though.

I'm also in the 4" phone camp. I still have a 5s and prefer the size.

15" Skylake rMBP - Thunderbolt 3, NVM PCI-E, dedicated nVidia graphics, DONT' make it thinner for the sake of thinness (except for the screen bezel), keep the MagSafe, 32GB RAM option (or better yet, make the memory user-upgradable again...).

And either update the Mac Pro trashcan, lower the price (still charging premium prices for 2013 tech), or kill it off and get it over with already....

Someday I would like a MBP that converts to slate form for pen input (not touch) to use for professional art, as well as graphic intensive 3d animation and video editing.

And I'd like an iPad Pro that can natively connect to a MBP as an extended display.

I would also like an up-to-date 4" iPhone, and a 5.5" iPod touch with decent specs for home. (iPad Air or Mini are too big for what I want.)

That's my wish list anyway. And I'm not holding my breath.

I guess I didn't expect anything different but I'm pissed they're likely doing a yearly refresh on the Watch. Yeah the do it with the phone, iPad, et cetera... whatever. But the Watch pisses me off.

Apart from the stronger chassis I think the extra RAM can make a big difference when quickly flipping between multiple apps, using Safari etc. I agree though that fast and faster doesn't always make a big impression. The 6 is just a very good phone and I would probably be happy with that, apart from I'd miss 3D Touch now I've used it.

But the biggest difference is with the iPhone 6 Plus. The A9 seems to be a vast improvement over the A8 running that higher resolution screen. My 6s plus seems much more responsive and doesn't drop frames like my 6 plus did. This often happens with Apple, gen 2 of a product solves the little problems of the first generation.

Local Apologist Defence Force (ADF) has it covered for 2016 ;) stress not! It's what you can do for Apple, and not what Apple can do for you!!!

Sometimes you really sound like a very sad person (and yes, I'm aware that you "have all sorts of Apple Hardware!!11!").

Ooooh... My future iPad (Air 3) and phone (6C/6mini/whatever its called).. Pity I have no money for either hahahah

My iPad 2 can probably do another year.. or two.

Too many products in one article. Me thinks. Difficult to discuss.

I may get a new iPad Air 3 and the iphone 6c. If Apple TV supports 4K that one too.

On the watch - how could blood pressure be measured without the pressure? Anyhow - no idea how it may work from a technical perspective but if the watch does that I am interested to.

Oh and please don't make the watch thinner. My other watch is a G-Shock. I don't have that because there are no thin watches available but I like it.

A OS with no bugs... o wait a minute that used to happen under steve jobs. we now have cook destroying everything

It did? I'm guessing you didn't actually use OS X in most of its iterations. Some were solid (Tiger, Snow Leopard, Mountain Lion) and others, not so much (basically all pre-Tiger, Leopard, Lion).

1. There's no such thing as a bug free OS. More features and changes generally equate to more bugs.

2. The revisionist history about pre-Jobs Apple is ridiculous.

El Capitan has been in the good category. It was solid from day one.

Heaps of Apple hardware ;) more than most

Can I ask you a question , why resort to personal attacks? does it make you feel better?

To be Honest, as an apple fan in 2016 it's pros/cons , Steve jobs Apple was my Apple, certain things I'm not happy about it since, deal with it ;) many good people on MR, but yeah, I got no time for blatant haters and apologists alike

Happy new year to you!

I don't really understand what value there is to adding a camera to the watch. I haven't ever found myself wanting or needing a camera.

Any ideas?

Agreed. Apple need to keep the watch classy, and not add gimmicks to it. A camera would be a bad idea . They just need to refine the design, speed it up and improve the battery.

Apple should implement Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Type C (reversible) Generation 2 ports in all devices. SDXC readers supporting maximum speed (300 mbps). Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad with USB 3.1 hub. Apple Thunderbolt display 4K 24-inch with all those ports. Mac mini with 4 cores and 8 threads. Much cheaper Mac Pro.

I want a skylake macbook with the new GTX 980 Geforce for Notebook (Desktop 980) gpu.

I would also settle for a Quadro m6000m based laptop , which would automatically mean 17"

That's why I am currently eyeballing the new Lenovo P70 thinkpad.

I'm awaiting to see what the skylake MBP's bring before finally upgrading my 2007 model (space grey version, please!), and would be interested in the watch if it did monitor blood pressure, as this would suit my personal medical needs greatly.

Other than that, a new mac pro, and some 5k standalone monitors would be nice.

None of that makes any sense - the watch has a WiFi chip, and can connect to the 2.4Ghz networks independent of an iPhone. The trouble is that the software basically doesn't let you use it - you can use Siri, send iMessages and make calls (with WiFi calling), but that's it. Any WatchOS applications you have won't be able to get internet this way, which is a stupid software limitation - so even though you can do all of this stuff and clearly have an internet connection, BBC News won't update (and I don't think you get push notifications either).

Maybe the Watch2 has 5Ghz networking, but if Apple promise some kind of "expanded" tetherless WiFi only for the new device, I'm seriously going to bust a nut.

I actually like my Apple Watch, but the crappy internet availability is one thing that annoys me very often. I can lose BT signal in my own home, depending on where the devices are, at which point I'm relegated to "baby Internet". Sometimes my phone dies and I can't be bothered to get up and charge it right away.

You've hit on the biggest limitation of the Apple Watch, the OS. The watch itself is capable, hardware wise, of so much more than it currently can do, but the OS limits it drastically: no internet access for many applications casing very limited functionality in almost all apps, very poor quality apps in general (many of which don't work at all), no custom watch faces, the list goes on and on. This limitations placed on the watch were shown dramatically when going from Watch OS 1 to 2, and will probably be shown even more dramatically with version 3.

As for the Apple Watch 2, it wasn't that long ago that the Apple Watch 1 finally became available in many countries outside the US. I can guarantee there will be a lot of very annoyed customers, if Apple goes and makes an announcement for a second version, only 8 months after they made the first version available worldwide.

I was talking about IOS. 5 and 6 were a joy to use and very stable.

Magical.

It's been a lot of years since release, but don't forget the iRack.
